Gordon Elliott’s star is now the strongest Cheltenham ante-post favourite.
Envoi Allen maintained his perfect record with victory at Naas and has since been cut into an even clearer favourite for the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival.
Before his appearance at Naas, Envoi Allen could be backed at 7/4 for the Ballymore with most bookmakers. However, since then only one bookie remains at that price, with others going as short as evens.
Gordon Elliott’s six-year-old put in a commanding display to land the Grade 1 Lawlor’s of Naas Novice Hurdle on Sunday afternoon.
The winner of last year’s Champion Bumper at the Festival, the Cheveley Park gelding has now won seven races in a row, including two Grade 1s.
While the Ballymore looks the likely aim, you’ll find Envoi Allen in a couple of the other ante-post markets too.
He’s as short as 5/1 for the Champion Hurdle, a best price of 16/1. Meanwhile, he’s as short as 11/4 for the Supreme, but a best price of 7/1.
