It was Captain Guinness who caught the eye in the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle.
In an exciting Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown, Andy Dufresne came out on top, edging out a brave performance from Captain Guinness.
However, it was Captain Guinness, on just his second his second career start who has been cut drastically for the Supreme Novices Hurdle.
33/1 before the race, he has been slashed into as short as 12/1, with a best price of 20/1 still available.
Rachel Blackmore’s ride took a keen hold in the early stages of the race and looked hard to deal with, but Rachel got the five-year-old rallying and Andy Dufresne had to pull out all the stops to get the better of him.
Captian Guinness will be sure to improve for that effort and with more experience under his belt, punters think he could have a big part to play at the Cheltenham Festival.
Henry De Bromhead must be very pleased with what he saw and if he can learn to settle down at the start then he could be a force to be reckoned with.
Andy Dufresne got back to winning ways, having lost his unbeaten record to Latest Exhibition. He was 16/1 before the race and whilst some bookmakers have cut him into as short as 10/1, 16/1 is still available on Gordon Elliott’s six-year-old.
