Dettori remains in the hot seat despite no winners on day two.
Frankie Dettori stole the limelight on the opening day of this year’s Royal Ascot, landing an impressive three winners for John Gosden.
Despite not adding to that tally on day two, he remains the bookies favourite to be crowned top jockey at evens.
Ryan Moore was 4/6 favourite to land yet another top jockey claim before the festival, but with no winners on the opening day, he saw his odds dramatically drift.
The Englishman was expected to pick up at least a couple of winners for Aidan O’Brien yesterday, but only managed to clinch victory on Kew Gardens, which has left him second favourite at 6/4.
Dettori has five runners on day three, including a Gold Cup showdown with Moore. Dettori will mount Stradivarius for the show piece, who is currently joint-favourite with Moore’s entrant, Order Of St George, at 2/1.
William Buick will still fancy his chances of landing the top jockey claim, as he’s picked up two winners at the festival and currently sits at 7/1 for the crown.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “With Ryan Moore having the pick of Aidan O’Brien’s horses, he could be a very tempting price to win top jockey again.
“Moore still has rides on Order Of St George, Sioux Nation, Clemmie, Crystal Ocean to name just a few.”
