Steve Ryder tipped an outstanding 11/10 winner yesterday and now reveals his top selection for Sunday’s horse racing card.
3:05 Ascot
Tip 1 - Munsif - 1pt
Best odds of 9/4 at PricedUp while publishing.
The Charles Byrnes trained MUNSIF (best priced at 9/4) narrowly missed out on getting a run in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival for which he was well fancied and he can bounce back from his latest effort back on better ground.
The four-year-old was rated 93 on the flat and he caught the eye on a couple of occasions when qualifying for his opening handicap mark, particularly behind Highland Crystal who was sent off 4/1 for the Triumph Hurdle and Saratoga who won the aforementioned Fred Winter.
Munsif had shown his best form on the flat on better ground so the soft ground will have been against him at Navan and he should prove hard to beat here off a mark of 126.
