Having landed his biggest not to qualify bet on the first semi-final, Sam Eaton has three more tips for the second on Thursday night.
Eurovision 2025
The second semi-final in Eurovision 2025 looks much tighter than the first semi-final, with only five countries, in my opinion, guaranteed to make the final. These are:
- Austria
- Finland
- Israel
- Malta
- Australia
The following countries are also likely to qualify, but I wouldn’t bet on them (find my outright bets here) at their current heavily odds-on prices:
- Czech Republic
- Lithuania
That leaves three positions still up for grabs.
Below is the Eurovision semi-final running order, along with the historical qualification rate for each slot:
- Australia (qualifies 53% of the time)
- Montenegro (qualifies 41% of the time)
- Ireland (qualifies 44% of the time)
- Latvia (qualifies 50% of the time)
- Armenia (qualifies 45% of the time)
- Austria (qualifies 61% of the time)
- United Kingdom
- Greece (qualifies 59% of the time)
- Lithuania (qualifies 63% of the time)
- Malta (qualifies 58% of the time)
- Georgia (qualifies 42% of the time)
- France
- Denmark (qualifies 63% of the time)
- Czech Republic (qualifies 74% of the time)
- Luxembourg (qualifies 66% of the time)
- Israel (qualifies 62% of the time)
- Germany
- Serbia (qualifies 89% of the time)

Eurovision Semi-Final 2 Tips
My strongest bet in the second semi-final is Armenia not to qualify at 4/6. Armenia ranks third from bottom in the largest online poll and sits in the bottom 10 of the betting markets. They’ve also drawn a slot that qualifies only 45% of the time, and performing just before Austria is unlikely to help their cause.
My second selection is on Latvia, another country I don’t see qualifying. They’re in the 4th position in the running order (50% qualification rate), rank 6th lowest in the betting and 8th lowest in the online polls.
Eurovision Semi-Final 2 Predictions
Above you can find the seven countries I believe are likely to go through. Even though I wouldn’t bet on them, I also think Greece will qualify, which leaves two remaining spots likely to be contested between:
- Luxembourg
- Ireland
- Serbia
Neither offers especially tempting odds, but unfortunately for Ireland, I think Luxembourg and Serbia’s favourable running order positions could help them edge through to the final.
Advised Bet: Denmark, Latvia & Armenia Not to Qualify @ 5/2 – 1pt (William Hill only).
My final selection for the second semi-final is a ‘Not to Qualify’ treble on Denmark, Latvia and Armenia. Click here to add this straight to your betslip as a #YourOdds selection on William Hill (or back Denmark not to qualif at best price below).
