In the last week Belgium have drifted from 10/1 to 70/1 to claim victory in Kiev.
Just last week you could back Blanche, Belgium’s entry for Eurovision at as short as 10/1 with one bookmaker to win annual event. However her odds of winning have taken a dramatic turn and the lights have gone out on Blanche’s entry “City Lights” chances of winning with her odds now a massive 70/1.
When the Belgium announced that The Voice (Belgium) competitor Blanche would be representing them their odds were slashed from 66/1 to 5/1 overnight and in the following twenty-four hours following the announcement, Belgium accounted for just over 17% of bets on the winner of Eurovision market.
Since then her popularity has taken a dramatic downturn. So far this month, Blanche has been responsible for a measly 3.37% of bets placed on the event. Italy are now the bookmaker’s new favourites to win in Kiev and have also been the main pick for punters accounting for a huge 22% of bets in May. The second most backed country on Oddschecker this month comes as a bit of a surprise in 25/1 shots Armenia. Over 7.5% of bets placed have been on the sovereign state , with their large odds seemingly not discouraging Eurovision punters.
