Eurovision 2023

Eurovision Betting Tips

The Grand Final line-up is complete, and the 26 countries know their allocated draw in the big event.

We lost Netherlands, Greece, Georgia, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Denmark, Azerbaijan, Romania, San Marino and Malta in the semi-finals. None of these came as a shock, and luckily our original Eurovision tips weren’t impacted.

I made five Eurovision Grand Final tips before the second semi-final, which you can read here.

The Eurovision predictions I made yesterday all stand, however, I’m less keen on the 100/1 on Austria winning the tele-vote now they are opening the show.

The Eurovision running order for the Grand Final has thrown up a few other betting options. I’m a lot more keen to take on Sweden following the Grand Final running order draw, as they’ve been allocated the 9th spot.

The last time a country won from a position before 10th was way back in 2003, when Turkey won from 4th position.

Finland remain second favorites in the Eurovision betting market after they drew 13th in the running order. Countries drawing between 10-13th have won four times in the last seven events.

Historically a second half draw has been crucial, as between 2005 and 2013 each winner came from the second half of the draw.

Finland also polled in first place in both the ESCXTRA Press Poll and Audience Poll for the opening semi-final.

With the running order and semi-final reaction, I’m going to add Finland to win Eurovision at 11/4 to my Eurovision tips.

Eurovision Tips: Finland to win Eurovision - 11/4

Eurovision Tips: Sweden, Finland & Israel All Top 5 Finish, Armenia, Norway & Germany All Top 10 - 12/1

William Hill have priced up a combination of selection with their YourOdds feature. I discussed the chances of Finland, Sweden, Israel and Germany yesterday. Despite wanting to take on Sweden in the outright market, they will still finish in the top three.

Armenia and Norway are two new additions to this bet. Norway rank 4th in the Eurovision World online poll, and Armenia are 6th.

Both have been drawn in the second-half of the draw.

Norway finished third in ESCXTRA’s Semi-final audience poll behind Finland and Sweden.

Armenia ranked top of the press poll following rehearsals earlier in the week.

Sweden, Finland & Israel All Top 5 Finish, Armenia, Norway & Germany All Top 10 - 1pt @ 12/1

Eurovision Tips: Germany Over 0.5 12’s From The Juries - 7/2

Unfortunately, there’s not too much science to back-up this Eurovision tip. Eurovision is a varied crowd, with room for all sorts of music.

A lot of countries in Eurovision over-index in the number of Heavy-metal / Rock fans, and with Germany targeting this niche, I wouldn’t be shocked to see a 12 given the country.

This bet is available on Bet365.

Germany Over 0.5 12’s From The Juries - 1pt @ 7/2

Eurovision Tips: France Under 5.5 12’s From The Juries - 8/11

With Sweden and Finland's dominance in the market, it’s very hard to see France getting over 5.5 12’s from the juries.

This bet is available on bet365.

France Under 5.5 12’s From The Juries - 1pt @ 8/11
