5 Minute Read2025 College Baseball World Series Odds: Top Contenders and Betting Insights for the MCWS
On Monday, May 26, the entire 64-team field for the Men's College Baseball World Series was announced. There will be 16 regionals, each in a double-elimination format. The winner of each regional will advance to the Super Regionals. Ultimately, the field will drop from 64 teams to just 16 teams. When there are 16 teams left, the College World Series will head to a Super Regional, where each matchup is a best-of-three series. Once that's all set, there will be only eight teams left. The final eight teams will head to the College World Series, where they will compete in two split brackets in Omaha, Nebraska. Each bracket will be a double-elimination format. The two teams that win the two brackets will then compete in a best-of-three series in the World Series Finals. Below, I'll discuss the odds and list a few valuable options ahead of the 2025 College World Series.

College World Series Odds
Arkansas Razorbacks (+470)
The Arkansas Razorbacks are the favorite to win it all. Ultimately, the Razorbacks finished 43-13 and went 20-10 in the SEC. They've had a demanding schedule and barely lost at home. However, Arkansas went 8-7 on the road this season and 3-2 in neutral-site games. They also lost to Ole Miss in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. That said, Wehiwa Aloy was named the SEC Player of the Year. Arkansas also has some elite starting pitching behind Zach Root, Gabe Gaeckle, and Landon Beidelshies. With so many great arms, Arkansas is positioned to make an immaculate run in the CWS. The Razorbacks finished the season with a 3.66 team ERA, which was fourth in the SEC.
LSU Tigers (+550)
The LSU Tigers went 43-14 on the season and finished 19-11 in the SEC. LSU went 30-5 at home, but 8-8 on the road. However, LSU still finished 5-1 in neutral-site games and went 23-2 against non-SEC opponents. Jared Jones has been the offensive leader of this squad. He's smashed a .429 average with six home runs and 26 RBIs this year. Meanwhile, while he's not Paul Skenes, Kade Anderson has been phenomenal this season as the team's ace. He's 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA. LSU has had plenty of magic in the past. However, this year's team may not be able to get the job done.
Vanderbilt Commodores (+650)
Vanderbilt has a rich history of success. I wouldn't count them out this year. The Commodores won the SEC Championship over Ole Miss and had one of the most demanding schedules in college baseball this year. That said, Vanderbilt's pitching was in the middle of the SEC this year, finishing with a 3.69 ERA. They were also in the middle of the pack in batting average in the SEC. Still, they'll be the No. 1 seed heading into the CWS and will play in a regional that includes Wright State, ETSU, and Louisville. If they're able to get out of the first regional, they'll easily be favorites against Southern Miss, Columbia, Miami, or Alabama. The schedule checks out for Vanderbilt. At +650, there's value here.
