The Phoenix Suns tried to make an NBA championship run behind Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. Instead of making a run at the NBA Championship, the Suns completely missed the playoffs.
Durant wasn't the major issue. It was more Bradley Beal, and the fact that the Suns didn't have much depth on the bench. However, after last season's failure, the Suns are looking to rebuild their team around Devin Booker and part ways with Beal and Durant.
Therefore, Durant is on the trade block and will eventually be moved during the off-season.
Currently, the Suns are fielding offers but haven't seen anything close to what they believe they should receive. Additionally, the Suns don't have much leverage in a potential trade. They'll have to lower their price tag for the 36-year-old superstar eventually.
Last week, the Spurs led the charge at a nearly 50% chance of landing KD. But without much movement, other teams are rumored to be at the forefront. That said, here's a look at the updated odds for Kevin Durant's next team.

Kevin Durant's Next Team Betting Favorites
Minnesota Timberwolves (+350)
The latest reports state that Kevin Durant doesn't want to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves. That won't stop the Suns from dealing him there. However, it will prevent the Timberwolves from trading assets for a player who is unlikely to sign an extension with Minnesota.
If Durant wanted to go to the Timberwolves, it sounds like the Suns and Timberwolves can hash out a deal. However, the Timberwolves won't trade for Durant if he doesn't intend to be there in the long term.
Additionally, the Timberwolves won't negotiate much until they know for sure that Durant's mind has changed regarding playing for Minnesota.
Houston Rockets (+250)
The Rockets are in the sweepstakes for Kevin Durant. Beyond that, Durant actually wants to play for the Rockets.
That all sounds great.
However, the Suns have reportedly been underwhelmed with the Rockets' offer. However, as I acknowledged above, the Suns may have to lower their asking price and accept the best offer, despite being underwhelmed. That package would likely be the Rockets at this point.
Like the Timberwolves, the Rockets will remain patient. This way, when the Suns lower their asking price, they'll be able to strike a deal to land the All-Star forward.
Toronto Raptors (+400)
The Suns don't have to do anything right by Kevin Durant. Therefore, they can easily ship him off to Toronto and take the best possible deal on the table.
Brian Windhorst admitted that the Raptors are lurking. They'd package RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and Jakob Poeltl in a deal, which could end up being the best deal.
The Raptors can trade three legitimate NBA talents to the Suns and give Devin Booker the pieces and depth he needs to compete again. Phoenix gets a center and multiple players who can score 20 points or more on any given night.
Don't count out Toronto!
