Bueckers and Miles have emerged as the most compelling alternatives, while Clark remains within reach despite an injury-interrupted first half. Bueckers has elevated Dallas with another exceptional season, Miles has transformed the league-leading Lynx as a rookie and Clark recently reminded the league of her ceiling with a historic 45-point performance.

Wilson enters the break averaging 26.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while remaining one of the league’s most disruptive defensive players. She has hovered around two blocks and 1.5 steals per game for much of the season, giving Las Vegas elite production at both ends instead of merely overwhelming scoring numbers.
Her value was visible again when she scored 38 points against Washington immediately before the break. Wilson has consistently rescued the Aces during uneven offensive stretches, controlled the paint defensively and produced efficiently despite facing constant double-teams. Las Vegas sitting third strengthens her case because the team’s position would be difficult to imagine without her.

Bueckers is averaging 20.9 points, 6.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game, ranking among the WNBA leaders in both scoring and playmaking. She has developed into a more complete offensive organizer during her second season, controlling tempo while maintaining the efficient shot creation that defined her rookie campaign.
Her strongest stretch came during a five-game Dallas winning streak when she averaged 23.6 points, 7.4 assists and 5.8 rebounds. That run earned Bueckers Western Conference Player of the Week honors and showed that the Wings can climb quickly when she is healthy and controlling the offense.
Dallas also has a productive supporting cast featuring Azzi Fudd, Jessica Shepard and Arike Ogunbowale, which can work both for and against Bueckers’ candidacy. The help gives the Wings a chance to improve their record, but it may make it harder for her to match the perception that Wilson is carrying a heavier burden. Bueckers remains the clearest established challenger if Dallas surges during the second half.

Miles has immediately become one of the WNBA’s most productive guards, averaging 19.3 points, 6.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds as a rookie. Her combination of efficiency and playmaking has allowed Minnesota to maintain the league’s best record despite Napheesa Collier’s absence.
The No. 2 overall pick has produced several explosive scoring performances, including 36 points against Phoenix and 32 points, eight rebounds and eight assists against Seattle. Miles has taken on more offensive responsibility without sacrificing her ability to organize the offense, keeping Kayla McBride and Minnesota’s veteran contributors involved while becoming the primary late-game creator.
Her candidacy combines elite team success with a historic rookie storyline. Winning MVP as a first-year player remains a difficult standard, but leading the league’s top team while averaging nearly 20 points and six assists gives Miles a credible path. Continued success without Collier would make the +1000 price increasingly difficult to ignore.

Clark enters the break averaging 21.0 points, a league-leading-caliber 7.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Her numbers remain firmly within the MVP conversation, but recurring back trouble and missed time have pushed her behind Wilson, Bueckers and Miles in the market.
The injury concerns have not prevented Clark from delivering some of the season’s biggest performances. She recently scored a franchise-record 45 points with 10 assists against Seattle, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record at least 40 points and 10 assists in the same game. She followed that by helping Indiana defeat New York by 20 points as her workload increased.
Clark’s second-half case depends on availability. Indiana has enough talent around her with Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Sophie Cunningham to climb the standings, but Clark must stay on the court and produce consistently to overcome Wilson’s statistical advantage. At +1300, she offers the longest price among the four leaders because her ceiling remains enormous but her health introduces the most uncertainty.

Wilson has established control of the race through unmatched two-way production and another strong Aces season. Bueckers is the most realistic traditional challenger, while Miles possesses the strongest combination of value, team record and emerging narrative.
Clark can still make a second-half charge if her back issues remain under control, but she has less room for another absence. Wilson remains the clear standard entering the break, and it will likely require a major decline from the favorite alongside a historic closing stretch from one of the three guards to prevent her from collecting another MVP trophy.
