Jake Paul Boxing Record: A look at Paul's Record Ahead of His Bout With Tommy Fury

It's about time.

In just over a month, boxing's most controversial figure, YouTuber Jake Paul, will step into the ring to face his biggest challenge yet, Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul has been fighting professionally for a few years, but Jake Paul's boxing record is always a hot topic when he has a fight in the near future, and this time is no exception.

The main point of contention with Jake Paul's boxing record is that, well, he's still yet to fight an actual boxer. After five professional fights, all of his opponents laced up the gloves for the first time when they took him on.

However, this time around that won't be the case. If you don't know Jake Paul's upcoming opponent Tommy Fury, he brings a similar "clout" to the fight to that of Paul's.

Tommy Fury is perhaps most well known for his time on the British reality TV series Love Island. While on the show, he burst onto the scene and became on of the series' most popular figures to date. But, if you don't know Love Island you may still know Fury's older brother, heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury.

Like I said, Jake Paul's boxing record is always a point of contention when he fights. So, let's take a look at it before his upcoming battle with Tommy Fury.

As you can see above, Jake Paul's boxing record is a perfect 5-0 as he comes into his August fight with Tommy Fury. But, as you'll also notice, you don't see a single boxer when it comes to Jake Paul's boxing record.

Paul's first ever fight came in January of 2020 when he took on fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and won via TKO in round one. Sure, it's a win, but if you've ever seen AnEsonGib, you're probably not impressed.

Next up for Jake Paul on the celebrity boxing circuit was Nate Robinson. Yes, that Nate Robinson. The Former NBA player who most notably robbed Andre Igoudala of a Dunk Contest title and measured about 5-foot-9.

Paul beat Robinson via KO, which is not too surprising, but it was the highlight-reel KO of Robinson that went viral and started to give Paul a little credibility.

Next up on Jake Paul's boxing record is the biggest joke of a fight he's had to date. Paul needed to build credibility. So, he took on world-class mixed martial artist Ben Askren. Paul won via KO, but the problem was Askren showed up out of shape, never took the fight seriously and was seen laughing with his wife as he exited the ring to a massive payday.

Jake Paul's boxing record now sat at 3-0 but he was no closer to credibility. Next up for Paul was his toughest battle yet, former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

In Paul's fourth ever fight, Woodley gave him all he could handle. Woodley was the better boxer, but Paul was more active, which gave him the edge on some judge's scorecards with a split decision win over Woodley.

Then, in December of last year, Paul was scheduled to fight Tommy Fury. Unfortunately, Fury was forced to pull out of the fight on short notice due to an illness. Woodley stepped in just a week before the fight. He lost via KO to Paul, but not many gave him the credit he deserved as Woodley had no time to prepare.

So here we are. Jake Paul's boxing record sits at 5-0 as he gets ready to take on Tommy Fury, the first boxer he's ever battled.
