Last year, Jake Paul was supposed to take on Tommy Fury, but Fury was forced to pull out of the bout in the coming weeks due to an illness. In stepped Paul's previous opponent, Tyron Woodley, who Paul knocked out, but the fight lacked real hype.

Then, earlier this summer, Paul was again scheduled to fight Fury, but he was denied entrance into the US. So, Paul booked Hasim Rahman Jr. for his next fight. But the fight was canceled for a variety of reasons and here we are again, talking about Jake Paul's next fight.

Jake Paul Next Fight - 5 Potential Opponents for Paul

Tommy Fury

This was always the most likely next fight for Jake Paul, however, I do believe the ship has sailed on this fight for now. Fury has to be on the list because they have a massive rivalry and would sell a ton of tickets. But, Fury has now canceled on Paul twice, so if he's going to get another shot I think he's going to have to earn it. I do think that this fight eventually gets done, the two fighters are two big of stars to not step into the ring with one another, but for Jake Paul's next fight I think Fury is on the outside looking in.

Andrew Tate

If you don't know who Andrew Tate is, consider yourself lucky. Tate rose to internet fame recently due to the lavish lifestyle he lives and the outlandish quotes he delivers for shock value. Paul recently went on a podcast and completely eviscerated Tate and his fans, leading to a public response from Tate. The feud is there and the hype is there, but I don't know if this one makes sense for Paul. If Jake Paul wants to be taken seriously as a fighter, taking on Andrew Tate is not the way to go about it. Paul's biggest critics harp on how he's fought no one with any real skill in the ring. A match with Andrew Tate for Jake Paul's next fight doesn't solve that.

Anderson Silva

If you're Jake Paul, you should stay as far away from this fight as humanly possible. Sure, Silva is old. Sure, he's a mixed martial artist and not a true boxer. But, he's still one of the greatest strikers the sport has seen and already has a boxing victory over a former world champion. From a promotion standpoint, this makes all the sense in the world. It would sell tons of tickets and make tons of money, But, if the goal is to win fights and boost your brand, making Anderson Silva Jake Paul's next fight is not a good idea. Having said that, Paul may just be crazy enough to take on the Spider.

Nate Diaz

I think this one, like the Tommy Fury fight, will happen. But the timing just isn't right. Diaz's fight at UFC 279 against Khamzat Chimaev will apparently be his last within the company. That opens him up to the possibility of accepting a Jake Paul fight. But, he's going to go to war with Chimaev. That fight is going to take a ton out of Diaz and it's scheduled for September 10 and Paul has claimed that his next fight will be in October. There is just no way that Diaz could do both, making it close to impossible that Jake Paul's next fight is against Nate Diaz. But, don't count it out in the future

Mike Tyson

What's crazier? The fact that Mike Tyson is on this list or the fact that sportsbooks that have this potential fight listed on their site have Paul as the -140 favorite? Here's the thing, this one is just crazy enough to work. Tyson was recently in the ring with Roy Jones Jr. He is a media darling these days and has been much more in the spotlight. Meanwhile, Paul is looking for a boxer to fight for the first time in his career and who could be better to get a win over than Mike Tyson. If it was anyone else, I would say there is no chance. But, Jake Paul's next fight could be against Mike Tyson and the fact that sportsbooks are pricing up odds only supports that.
