Heisman Watch: Ranking the Heisman Odds For All Four Finalists Before Saturday's Heisman Ceremony

We made it. The Heisman Ceremony is here and that means so is our final Heisman Watch list of the season. So, as we do each week, we're here to break down the latest Heisman odds.

To be honest, the end of the season was a little bit of a letdown when it comes to college football news and Heisman news. Of the four finalists, only one didn't end their season with a loss and that lone competitor just doesn't have the numbers to win the Heisman this season.

All season long, we've given you a breakdown of our Heisman Watch list to go along with your weekly college football picks. But now, there isn't much value left in these Heisman odds.

Heisman Watch: Top 5 Heisman Odds

1. Caleb Williams - USC QB (-1600) (Bet $1,600 to collect $1,700)

Caleb Williams is your 2022 Heisman Trophy winner. As someone who bet on him before the season started, I'm ecstatic. As a fan of the Heisman Watch and the drama that can surround the award, it's a little bit of a letdown. Let's get this out of the way: Caleb Williams was 100% the best player in college football this season. BUT, it's disappointing to see him end the season in the fashion he did. Williams started the Pac-12 Championship on fire, getting out to a 17-3 lead over Utah. Then, he got hurt and Utah mounted a massive comeback and USC ended up getting their lunch handed to them. They lost the conference title and they lost their shot at a College Football Playoff appearance. In last week's Heisman Watch list, Williams' Heisman odds sat at -2000, earlier this week they were -2200 and now they're -1600. I wouldn't read too much into the fluctuation in odds. But, there is a slight chance our No. 2 spot pulls off the upset of his lifetime.

2. Max Duggan - TCU QB (+2000) (Bet $100 to collect $2,100)

It's a shame that the Max Duggan Heisman hype train took so long to get off the ground this year. But, when you don't end up in the top five of the Heisman odds until Championship Weekend, it's tough to make the push needed when it matters. here's the thing, I think if TCU would have beaten Kansas State and won the Big 12 Championship, we'd be looking at a much tighter race and Max Duggan would have a shot. Instead, our Heisman Watch list has no drama in it. Duggan finishes the season 16th in the country in passing yards (3,321), 12th in passing TDs (30), 14th in QBR (80.2) and threw only four INTs. He gets the last laugh over Caleb Williams with the Horned Frogs making the College Football Playoff, but it looks like Williams is going to take home the individual hardware when it's all said and done.

3. Stetson Bennett - Georgia QB (+4000) (Bet $100 to collect $4,100)

Stetson Bennett is the coolest story in college football for the second year in a row. Last year, he goes from former walk-on to delivering a National Championship to Athens and beating rival Alabama in the title game. This year, he leads the unbeaten Bulldogs to the top seed in the College Football Playoffs and is headed to the Heisman Ceremony as a finalist for the award. The unfortunate part is Bennett doesn't have the gaudy numbers needed to win the award. It's not his fault that Georgia was blowing every team out at halftime and he was rarely needed for four quarters. But, the fact remains that his numbers just don't match up to the other three names on this list. The best part about Bennet is that I have a feeling he'd gladly trade another National Championship instead of a Heisman and I have a feeling he'll be delivering his second title to the Georgia faithful come early January.

4. CJ Stroud - Ohio State QB (+5000) (Bet $100 to collect $5,100)

How the mighty have fallen. I spent all season ragging on CJ Stroud, so I feel bad now that we're here and he actually has the longest Heisman odds of all the finalists. Stroud seems like a great kid and has a tremendous future in the NFL. However, he wasn't good enough in the final month of the season. I didn't think his early performances justified him being the favorite all season long and they only got worse as the year progressed. This is obviously a much different story if Stroud and OSU go on to beat Michigan and whoop up on Purdue in the Big Ten title game. But, OSU has maybe one impressive win on the year and it was against an above-average Penn State team. That's not enough for Stroud to win the Heisman. Somehow, it's enough to put the Buckeyes in the CFP though.
