Colorado vs. Nebraska Odds: Cornhuskers Given 70% Chance to Beat Buffaloes on Saturday Night

The Colorado Buffaloes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will renew their classic battles on Saturday night when they meet in this Big 12 vs. Big Ten battle.

This rivalry dates back to 1898, and is one of the most iconic old-school Big 8 rivalries. Nebraska owned the series through the 70's, 80's, and 90's, amassing a 49-21-2 advantage over the years.

However, Colorado gave them a beatdown in Boulder last year, part of Deion Sanders' hot start as head coach. They ran away with a 36-14 victory, and was a major blemish in Matt Rhule's first season at the helm. Shedeur Sanders passed for nearly 400 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in the blowout.

Rhule is back with a much improved roster, and is ready to dole out some revenge on Saturday night in Lincoln. Dylan Raiola takes over the reigns at quarterback, and the former five-star is bringing energy back to the Cornhuskers program. He performed well in his first start last week, and is ready to tear up a weaker Colorado secondary.

Let's check out the latest odds for Colorado vs. Nebraska on Saturday night.

The line hasn't moved a ton, bouncing around between -6.5 and -7.5, but there is some solid backing on Nebraska. Our oddschecker+ Betting Splits Tool shows 50% of the spread bets on the Cornhuskers, but 68% of the money is on their spread. Bettors seem to be respecting Raiola and the Huskers at home in this revenge matchup.

Colorado vs. Nebraska Preview

The Colorado Buffaloes survived a scare against North Dakota State last week in one of the first matchups of Week 1. They hosted the Bison in a Thursday night prime time battle at Folsom Field, and were down for a large portion of the first half and third quarter before turning it around.

Shedeur Sanders got it to Travis Hunter in the clutch several times for some big scores, and the Buffaloes built an 11-point lead in the fourth. NDSU didn't go away quietly though, getting within five and forcing one final possession where they came up short on a Hail Mary.

Regardless of how close the game was, the Buffaloes proved how strong their offense still is, and received contributions from Jimmy Horn Jr. among others. They will need to bring their A-game tonight against Nebraska in what could turn into a shootout.

Dylan Raiola lines up on the other side, a former top prospect and Georgia commit, and he's ready to return Nebraska to prominence. He drew comparisons to Patrick Mahomes last week for his pocket presence and unique throws, amounting to 238 yards and two touchdowns in their win over UTEP. The Cornhuskers will look to exact revenge for last year's blowout tonight, and they certainly have an upgraded roster that is capable of doing so. Memorial Stadium will be rocking with a sold out sea of Big Red fans, so tune into this one on NBC for some offensive fireworks tonight.
