The No. 6 Missouri Tigers will welcome in the No. 24 Boston College Eagles in the only ranked matchup on Saturday. The Tigers and Eagles are familiar foes going head-to-head in Week 4 of the 2021 season at Boston College. The Eagles emerged with an underdog victory three years ago after the game went to overtime, and Mizzou is eager for revenge with a much improved roster.
The Missouri Tigers have burst onto the national scene after a 11-2 season last year ended with a Cotton Bowl victory over the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes. Mizzou now finds themselves in the top 10 after a flawless start to the season with two shutouts. While everyone was excited to see their offense led by Brady Cook and Luther Burden, it's the defense that hasn't allowed a point in 11 quarters dating back to the first quarter of that Ohio State game. They'll need to step up and contain the vaunted Boston College rushing attack if they want to avoid ending up like Florida State did a few weeks ago.
Boston College got off to an unexpectedly strong start when they began their season on Labor Day. Bill O'Brien took the Eagles down to Tallahassee in his head coaching debut and ran all over the top-10 Florida State Seminoles. BC rumbled to 263 rushing yards against what was supposed to be a stacked FSU defense. Thomas Castellanos scrambled all over the field and tore up the Seminoles, and the Eagles carried that momentum into Week 2 with a 56-0 win over Duquesne. O'Brien's squad is feeling confident as they head to Columbia, Missouri this week in search of another top-10 road win.

The Missouri Tigers are more than a two-touchdown home favorite, and like the team motto says, they have something to prove. Coach Eliah Drinkwitz has not forgotten about the loss at Chestnut Hill in his second season, and he'll be looking for a beatdown in revenge.
The Tigers have pulled no punches in their first two games, albeit against much lesser competition. They bulldozed over Murray State 51-0, followed by a a beatdown against Buffalo by a score of 38-0. Brady Cook is back leading this offense, and has been spreading the ball around the field. The tandem of Luther Burden and Theo Wease Jr. has picked up right where they left off, hauling in the bulk of Cook's passes for explosive gains. The rushing attack has been formidable on top of that, stacking up nearly 450 yards in two games with their committee backfield of Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll. The Tigers will look to light up the scoreboard early and build a quick lead against BC, something FSU was unable to do.
Boston College is out to prove their win over FSU was no fluke, and they are here to compete for the ACC. A close game against a top-10 Mizzou team or even an upset would cement O'Brien's group as a force to be reckoned with. This late line movement helps boost their case that they have a chance to compete with the Tigers, but the SEC talent level might be a bit too much. If Castellanos and the Eagles can get their rushing game moving early against the Tigers, they should be able to bust through Mizzou's scoreless streak with ease and put up a fight.
