Miami Dolphins won their fourth game in a row with a 29-21 win over Los Angeles Chargers to take their record to 6-3, and it seems that sports bettors are finally sitting up and taking notice.

Over the weekend, 22.35% of all bets placed on the Super Bowl winner market were in favor of the Dolphins, making them the most popular wager during that period.

This is despite the fact that their odds of +6000 puts them 14th favorites in the market and implies just a 1.64% probability.

However, bettors are clearing seeing excellent value in that bet and have rushed to back them as a result, even ahead of the high-flying Pittsburgh Steelers, who were the second-best backed team with 17.65% of total bets.

Miami’s odds of winning the AFC East have also been slashed following their win, and they are now second favorites for the division. As the graphic below depicts, the Bills remain the clear frontrunners but the Dolphins have closed the gap and the race is far from over.
