NFL MVP Odds: 61.5% of Bets Placed on Matt Stafford To Win
Stafford came into the season with some high expectations. To say he’s met them may be an understatement. Once on the outside looking in, Stafford is now the favorite to win the NFL MVP.
Stafford was given +1800 odds to win the MVP, 5th best on the market to start the season. However, after three weeks, those odds have shrunk to +800, and he’s now the odds-on favorite to be named MVP. Kyler Murray, +850, and Patrick Mahomes, +900, are the only other players with odds better than +1000 to win the MVP.
Bettors are even more into Stafford. Over the last 24 hours, 61.5% of bets have been placed on Stafford to win the MVP. Only 5.1% of bets have been placed on Kyler Murray, and 2.6% have been placed on Mahomes.
Matt Stafford has had a dominant start to the year. Stafford is on pace for 5,338 yards, 51 touchdowns, and just six interceptions through three games. It should go without saying that all of those numbers would be career bests. That’s the kind of season that rivals Peyton Manning’s 2013 as one of the greatest in the history of football. Not to mention, the Rams are 3-0. So it should come as no surprise that Stafford is the easy favorite for MVP to start the year.
