5 Most Popular Bets and Prop Bets For Monday Night Football: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Chicago Bears
Two of the NFL’s oldest franchises go head to head for Monday Night Football in the Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Chicago Bears. Pittsburgh is currently hanging around in the wild card race with a 4-3 record while Chicago has some work to do sitting at 3-5 on their season through eight games.
Will it be the old guard, in Ben Roethlisberger getting the job done or instead will we finally see Justin Fields take over a game and beat a solid defense. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the public’s top-five bets for Monday night.

1. Steelers -7
Bet | Bets% | Handle% |
---|---|---|
Steelers -7 | 54% | 56% |
Do you trust the Bears this week? I certainly don’t. In games where Chicago was six-point underdogs or more this year, they’ve failed to cover each time (0-4). With the Bears offensive line issues, an inexperienced quarterback, and a good Steelers defense it could very well be a long Justin Fields day. 54 percent of the public agrees with that notion.
2. Under 39.5 Points
Bet | Bets% | Handle% |
---|---|---|
Under 39.5 | 54% | 67% |
39.5 seems extremely low, but when looking at these two teams they are phenomenal at hitting unders this year. The Steelers and Bears have a combined record of 11-3-1 to the under, that’s 78.6 percent of the time they’re coming in on the under. There’s a reason that 67 percent of the handle is coming in for below 39.5 points.
3. Najee Harris to score 1st TD @ +400
Najee is by far the safest bet to get into the endzone first. There’s no guarantee that it happens obviously but when looking at the Steelers they will likely try to take pressure off Ben Roethlisberger by exploiting the Bears’ rush defense. Chicago has allowed the ninth-most rushing yards in the NFL this season so you might as well put that first-round pick to good use this week.
4. Najee Harris over 79.5 rushing yards @ -115
The same logic for the first touchdown scorer is applied here. The Bears aren’t good against the run and Ben Roethlisberger is old. It’s a good matchup for Harris and it’s easy to see why the public likes it so much as well. Plus, Pittsburgh likely plays from ahead tonight which should mean more rushing attempts.
5. Ben Roethlisberger to record 300+ passing yards @ +260
Just once this year has Big Ben gone over 300 yards. Long gone are the days of Roethlisberger throwing it all over the yard for a ton of yards. His yards per attempt on the season is coming in at just 6.6 which is way below his career average of 7.7. On average, Chicago allows 232.5 yards per game which is 11th best in the NFL. I’m not sure I agree with this bet but you’d get a good return on it if it hits.
