AJ Brown Injury News: How it Impacts Titans vs Patriots
This week, the 7-4 New England Patriots are hosting the 8-3 Tennessee Titans. On paper, one would think that this would be a good matchup of two very good AFC teams. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly shaping up that way.
We learned today that the Tennessee Titans will be without star-wideout A.J. Brown this week among others.
A.J. Brown was out with a hamstring injury back in Week 4 of the NFL season when the Titans went on the road to take on the Jets and ended up losing a surprising one. Brown leads the Titans in receptions with 46 catches for 615 yards and three touchdowns. To make matters worse, the Titans already lost Derrick Henry for the season and Julio Jones hasn’t played since Week 9.Â
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers as well as both Brown and Jeremy McNichols are the Titans receptions leaders this year.Â
New England has been excellent in defending the pass all year long so Ryan Tannehill may be in some trouble. The Patriots have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards, the second-fewest touchdowns, and have the most interceptions in the league with 18.
In the Titans' loss to Houston last week, Tannehill was picked off four times. Another down performance might be in the cards for him this week as well.
