After a tumultuous few months as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Urban Meyer has been fired, according to reports.

Less than a calendar year after signing a contract worth a reported $10 to $12 million a year, Urban Meyer has been fired as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The last few weeks have seen more internal leaks coming out of the Jaguars organization than a sifter. To their credit, the Jaguars organization moved quickly to clean up the colossal mistake that was actually hiring Meyer.
Shit really started to hit the fan when images and videos started to surface on Twitter and Reddit of Meyer having a little too much fun after losing his fourth game in as many tries.
And it's since escalated to Meyer calling his assistant coaches "losers" and not knowing what players actually, ya know, played for him. In what's both completely awful and hilarious at the same time, it seemed like the icing on the cake was Meyer...kicking a kicker. You can't make this stuff up. Seriously, even The Onion would think this is absurd.
The irony here certainly shouldn't be lost on anyone -- the real loser just got kicked to the curb.
Though his contract details were never made public, there are reports that indicate that this firing will leave the Jags with nearly $60 million on the books through 2026. Yikes. Even Hue Jackson would probably marvel at how bad this turned out -- and he went 3-36-1 as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
