What’s next for the Seahawks at the quarterback position? Oddsmakers believe that the answer is already on their roster. Drew Lock is expected to get the chance to run the Seahawks in 2022.
Oddsmakers give Drew Lock -130 odds, or an implied 56.5% chance to be Seattle’s Week 1 starter. He’s the overwhelming favorite for the job. If they go a different direction, then look towards the draft. Oddsmakers give Malik Willis +400 odds, or an implied 20% chance to be under center.

There’s also the option of a trade, and Deshaun Watson is clearly in their sights. Earlier this week, Watson was given +1400 odds to head to Seattle but those odds are already down to +600. There’s also the possibility of a stop-gap with oddsmakers giving Geno Smith +900 odds, or an implied 10% chance to take over.
Oddsmakers don’t expect Seattle to make a move for an unfamiliar stop-gap option this offseason. Some of the big names on the market like Mitchell Trubisky and Jameis Winston are given long odds. Oddsmakers also don’t expect the 49ers to trade Jimmy Garoppolo in division, which eliminates another option.
It really comes down to the top-4 on the odds market. Will they go with a young but volatile QB, a familiar stop-gap, attempt to acquire a troubled franchise QB, or start over again by drafting a QB? Oddsmakers are leaning heavily towards Lock being the answer.
