Deebo Samuel Next Team Odds: Oddsmakers Give Deebo a 20% Chance to be Traded to the Jets
Deebo Samuel Next Team Odds: Oddsmakers Give Deebo a 20% Chance to be Traded to the Jets
2021 was the breakout year for Deebo Samuel. After a solid rookie season in 2019 and an injury plagued 2020 season, Deebo broke out in 2021 finishing with 1,770 all purpose yards and a combined 14 touchdowns on the year.
He's turned himself into one of the best weapons in the sport but like some other players from the 2019 draft class, the rumors began to start swirling during contract negotiations. Deebo Samuel has unfollowed the San Francisco 49ers and removed any pictures of himself that reference the 49ers.
Would the 49ers really trade Deebo Samuel? Well, if they did here is a look at the Deebo Samuel next team odds:

San Francisco 49ers -250 (Bet $250 to win $100)
Deebo Samuel is given a 71.43% chance to stick with the San Francisco 49ers. I mean it would make the most sense for them to try to work out a deal rather than trade him. Eventually, whether it's this year or not, the 49ers are going to turn things over to Trey Lance who they selected third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. When they do, it would be wise to have an offensive weapon like Deebo at their disposal.
Samuel is just 26 years old and entering the prime of his career right now. Could you imagine the possibilities Kyle Shanahan could do with the speed of Trey Lance and Deebo Samuel in the backfield at the same time? Don't ruin this, John Lynch just pay the man.

New York Jets +400 (Bet $100 to win $400)
If Deebo were to get moved, the Jets make a ton of sense. First, both Robert Saleh and Mike LaFleur just recently came over from the San Francisco 49ers organization so the connection is already there and secondly, they've already tried to swing big for a WR with Tyreek Hill.
Deebo Samuel would be exactly what this Jets offense needs, another explosive weapon for Zach Wilson to have fun with. Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur really came into his own last year and adding Samuel to pair with Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Braxton Berrios would be really exciting to watch.
More than likely, Deebo will stay with the San Francisco 49ers but if he were to get traded this is a landing spot that would just make too much sense, especially with the draft capital that the Jets have in this year's class.
