New York Jets vs. New York Giants Odds Breakdown

When looking at the New York Jets vs. New York Giants odds, the Jets are pretty sizable favorites as they're given a 66.67% chance of victory today. Jets coach, Robert Saleh has been pretty conservative when playing starters in the preseason, especially losing Zach Wilson against the Eagles.

That is expected to change today though, as Saleh has stated that the starters will be ramped up in this game playing anywhere from a quarter to the first half of the game.

Joe Flacco will be making his preseason debut for the Jets and is expected to start the season while Zach Wilson is on the shelf. He may not be Super Bowl MVP, Joe Flacco anymore but he's had a great camp so far and has looked good for the Jets in spot starts over the last two years.

The Giants regulars have gotten a fair amount of playing time through the first two games, which likely means Brian Daboll won't be utilizing them much today. That is likely a big factor going into why the Jets are favored by 4.5 points.

Still, Tyrod Taylor is no slouch as a backup quarterback and the Jets defense has struggled at times throughout the preseason. The sportsbooks are leaning more towards the Jets though, especially as this game inches closer. We'll have to wait to see who finishes the preseason undefeated but the books think it'll be the Jets.
