Jalen Hurts NFL MVP Odds: Hurts' NFL MVP Odds Slashed Following Massive Performance Against Titans

NFL MVP odds and betting breakdown following Sunday's Week 13 games. Coming into Week 14, Patrick Mahomes was the overwhelming favorite to win the NFL MVP this season. Now, after Jalen Hurts' performance against the Titans, it's a dead heat.

Jalen Hurts NFL MVP Odds: Hurts' NFL MVP Odds Slashed Following Massive Performance Against Titans

NFL MVP odds have favored Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes for a few weeks now. Mahomes has hovered around the +150 mark while others like Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts have ebbed and flowed.

But, this week, the NFL MVP odds market took a massive shift as Jalen Hurts' MVP odds were massively cut thanks to his stunning performance against the Titans,

Hurts has been in the NFL MVP discussion for some time. As a matter of fact, he's been a popular pick among NFL handicappers. But, it was this week that cemented him as a true contender among the league's elite.

It also didn't hurt Hurts' MVP odds that Mahomes lost this past week, meaning the Eagles are now 11-1 on the year and the Chiefs dropped to 9-3, bringing a third name into the mix.

Don't look now, but the Cincinnati Bengals are trending at the right time and Joe Burrow, in the win over the Chiefs in Week 13, has inserted himself back among the top of the NFL MVP odds.

So, let's take a look at where the NFL MVP odds stand this week after Week 13.

Patrick Mahomes (+150) (Bet $100 to collect $250)

Patrick Mahomes seemed to be the no-brainer choice for NFL MVP just two weeks ago, but he's officially been caught by Jalen Hurts. Mahomes, in his first season without Tyreek Hill, has been fantastic. But, this past week's misstep against the Bengals hurt his chances. The Chiefs led for most of the game on Sunday, but it was a huge comeback, led by Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, that won the game for Cincy. Still, Mahomes is first in the NFL in passing yards, passing TDs and QBR while having thrown just 8 interceptions.

Jalen Hurts (+175) (Bet $100 to collect $275)

The last two week, and really the entire season, has been fantastic from Jalen Hurts. Two weeks ago, Hurts rushed for over 150 yards to take down the Packers at home on Sunday Night Football. This past Sunday, Hurts threw for 380 yards and three TDs, adding a fourth TD on the ground. The improvement by Hurts from last season to this season has been incredible. He has his team sitting at 11-1 this season, the best record in the NFL, and is fourth in the NFL in QBR. Most importantly is that he's limited turnovers, something he struggled with early in his career. Two weeks ago, Hurts' MVP odds sat at +500. Now, the best number you'll find is +175.

Joe Burrow (+800) (Bet $100 to collect $900)

Joe Burrow's NFL MVP odds are quite a bit longer than Mahomes and Hurts, but I thought it was important to include him because he's coming off the biggest win of the season for the Bengals. Last year, in his first completely healthy year in the NFL, Burrow led the Bengals to a Super Bowl berth. This year, he's third in NFL MVP odds to this point of the season. It would take a huge collapse from both Mahomes and Hurts for Burrow's odds to get a lot shorter, but stranger things have happened.
