Considering the type of success that he's found with the Michigan program, there are many reasons for him to stay. The team just made it to the College Football Playoffs after winning the Big 10.
There will be a few teams looking for a new head coach next season, and the biggest one will likely be the Denver Broncos. Denver had one of the more disappointing seasons in recent memory after an offseason where people believed they might even be able to take over the AFC West and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Head coach Nathaniel Hackett was finally fired nearly a week ago after months of below-average coaching. Denver was 4-11 and clearly needed to make a change, despite it being Hackett's first season with the team.
The new Jim Harbaugh rumors are suggesting that he might end up with Denver and it could make sense for both parties.

As we can see from the odds to be the next Denver Broncos head coach, oddsmakers are saying that there is a chance that Jim Harbaugh could end up in Denver. Although his odds aren't as high as most of the other candidates, it wouldn't be shocking to see these change drastically with the news that he could be deeply sought after in the NFL.
Denver would need to make an offer that he can't deny.
It's not going to be easy for him to get the same type of contract that he has at Michigan. Considering he's one of the highest-paid college coaches, getting him to leave could be tough. However, NFL jobs typically pay just as well and there's a good chance that they can even go past the number that he's looking at with Michigan.
Hackett made just $4 million this year, compared to Harbaugh, who made a bit more than $6 million.
Other names top this list, including former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton. Payton is expected to be one of the most sought-after coaches on the market if he does decide to return to the NFL.
If he doesn't decide to return to the NFL and the Broncos are looking for someone, it wouldn't be surprising to see them make an effort to go after Jim Harbaugh.
There are other names on this list that could certainly make sense, but outside of Sean Payton, Jim Harbaugh might be the best option.
