NFL Rumors: Five Trades We'd Love to See Go Down During the Offseason

We're finally headed to the NFL postseason. But unfortunately, for many fanbases, your season is over.

Half of the league is now looking at what to do for next season, and the playoff teams will get to that side of the business shortly.

With that said, it's time to look at five trades we'd love to see go down during the NFL offseason.

Top 5 Trades Trade We'd Love to See in 2023

1. Texans Trade WR Brandin Cooks to the Dallas Cowboys

Brandin Cooks has already acknowledged that he wants a trade from Houston in the offseason. Although the Texans could bring in a stud quarterback, he's tired of being a part of a rebuild.

The Cowboys desperately tried to get Odell Beckham Jr. onto their roster this year. But Beckham will hold out until next year and weigh all his options.

Cooks want to go to a contending team. The Dallas Cowboys are currently in the playoffs this year and have been one of the better offenses this year in the NFC.

But other than CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys have struggled to find consistent play out of its wide receiver core. Cooks has the potential to be a WR1 on a good team. He'd be terrific as the WR2 for the Dallas Cowboys.

With Tony Pollard breaking out and Dalton Schultz playing very well at the tight end position, adding Cooks to that offense would be elite.

2. Raiders Trade QB Derek Carr to the New York Jets

I think that the Jets will be looking to add Lamar Jackson at quarterback before considering Derek Carr.

But when the Jets miss out on Jackson, they'll have to go after Derek Carr. He's a veteran with experience and legitimate leadership.

New York is seriously a playoff team. The Jets just need a quarterback. With Breece Hall at running back, Garrett Wilson at wide receiver, and an offensive line that will be healthy in 2023, Derek Carr could help the Jets put together a terrific 2023 campaign.

Carr won't have to throw nearly as much with the Jets. That will minimize turnovers anyway. Las Vegas' defense was never good. New York's has been sensational and will stay that way next year.

The Jets need to stop gambling in the draft and just add Carr.

3. Cardinals Trade WR DeAndre Hopkins to the Denver Broncos

The Broncos already have to pay Russell Wilson at quarterback. They're already in deep. So, therefore, it's time to build a roster around Wilson.

Once the Broncos find their coach, they'll have to look at other options to improve the team. Javonte Williams will be back as a running back next year, but the offense still needs more firepower.

Imagine having Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy as your two starting wide receivers with Russell Wilson at quarterback, with help from a qualified head coach and offensive coordinator

Things would look so much better in Denver.

4. Packers Trade QB Aaron Rodgers to the Las Vegas Raiders

Aaron Rodgers refused to give Jameson Williams his Week 18 jersey in a loss to Detroit.

So now there's speculation that he might retire. There's also reason to believe he will request a trade and leave the Packers.

Rodgers could team up with Davante Adams in Las Vegas and get that connection back. Rodgers and Adams played nicely with one another for all those years in Green Bay.

With this, Rodgers could move to Las Vegas and not worry about the cold weather in Green Bay anyway.

5. Saints Trade DE Cam Jordan to the Baltimore Ravens

Who knows if the Ravens will move on from Lamar Jackson?

But if the Ravens continue to sit on their hands on the offensive end, they need to do whatever they can to beef up that defense.

The Ravens don't have many wide receivers and will look bad without Jackson. But if the defense can get stops and keep the Ravens in the game, that would be crucial.

So why not add Cam Jordan to the roster this upcoming season?
