Flores is now given -150 odds, or an implied 60% chance to become the next head coach of the Cardinals. Despite new names being added, the books still see Vance Joseph as his biggest competition at +275, or an implied 26.7% chance to land the job.
There is a new candidate who has quickly risen in the market though. Giants OC Mike Kafka is now considered a realistic candidate to land the job. Kafka was given +2000 odds to land the job last week and is now given +500 odds or an implied 16.7% chance to land the job.
The books believe that Brian Flores will be the next Cardinals head coach. However, even those his odds are third longest it’s very much worth watching Mike Kafka. His odds moved so strongly that it was impossible to ignore the momentum he was gathering. It’s also worth noting Kafka played for the Patriots in 2013 when Monti Ossenfort was with the team, so they do have a connection.
