Colts Rumors: Indianapolis Favored to be Daniel Jones' Next Team
Per reports, Daniel Jones’ contract ask has put a wedge between the New York Giants and himself. That could open the door for another team if the Giants decide to put the non-exclusive franchise tag on their young quarterback. The sportsbooks believe that the Indianapolis Colts may pounce if they do.

Daniel Jones Next Team Odds
If Daniel Jones is to leave the Giants this offseason, the Colts are given +300 odds or an implied 25% chance to land the former Duke quarterback. The Las Vegas Raiders are next on the market at +400 or an implied 20% chance to land Jones.
The market for the 25-year-old is expected to be very strong if he does reach free agency. In total, seven teams are given an implied 10% chance or better to land Jones. Among the more intriguing options are the New York Jets at +500 or an implied 16.7% chance and the New England Patriots at +600 or an implied 14.3% chance.
There are a few ways to look at this. The Giants also need to pay Saquon Barkley and while it's possible that both can get paid, which player will the Giants value more? New York showed this year that they have enough to be a competitive team. However, if they were to sign Jones to this contract, it would be tough to add players around him that they need to become an elite team.

The sportsbooks don’t expect the Colts to be pursuing every veteran quarterback on the market as they have the last few years. Indianapolis is +2500 to land Aaron Rodgers, +3300 to land Derek Carr, and they aren’t even on the market for Lamar Jackson. But they are the favorites to land Daniel Jones.
Perhaps it’s a combination of age, cost, and opportunity. But would they pay him and give up two first-round picks? They did trade a first and a third for Carson Wentz so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Should the Giants decide to re-sign Daniel Jones, they will find themselves in an interesting position if it doesn't work out.
