7 minNFL Quarterback Rankings: Quarterback Power Rankings Entering Week 8
There are a lot of new quarterbacks taking center stage on Sunday.
Will Levis will get the call from the Titans for his first career start. Meanwhile, it's likely that Sam Darnold will see the field for the 49ers, with Brock Purdy out due to a concussion.
Things are about to get interesting in Week 8.
Here are our quarterback rankings heading into the new week.
Quarterback Rankings
32. Will Levis (TEN) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Levis
The Tennessee Titans will give Will Levis his first NFL career start. Knowing he began his career as the third-stringer this season, it's hard to imagine any quarterback worse than him heading into Week 8.
31. P.J. Walker (CLE) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Walker
P.J. Walker was officially signed to the Cleveland active roster. He's kept things afloat for the Browns, but that's mainly with help from the defense.
30. Aidan O'Connell (LV) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for O'Connell
If Jimmy Garoppolo still isn't available for Sunday, it'll be rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell under center for the Raiders. He hasn't proved anything since taking center stage for the Raiders this season.
29. Bryce Young (CAR) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Young
Maybe having his offensive coordinator call the plays will help Young and the Panthers' offense figure things out.
28. Joshua Dobbs (ARI) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Dobbs
Dobbs' time as the starting quarterback is running out, with Kyler Murray fully practicing with the team.
27. Tyson Bagent (CHI) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Bagent
I don't want to get ahead of myself. But Tyson Bagent's kept his cool and has looked super poised as the starting quarterback for the Bears—props to him.
26. Kenny Pickett (PIT) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Pickett
Pickett's numbers will only improve now that Diontae Johnson is back in the lineup.
25. Tyrod Taylor (NYG) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Taylor
Tyrod Taylor hasn't faced the baggage that Daniel Jones faced. So he's performed better than Jones. But don't expect Taylor to play quarterback when Jones is healthy.
24. Jordan Love (GB) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Love
Love began the season with so much confidence. Now, the offense can barely move the ball in the passing game.
23. Mac Jones (NE) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Mac Jones
Mac Jones thrived against the Bills on Sunday. That's a start.
22. Sam Darnold (SF) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Darnold
Sam Darnold will likely get the start for the Niners against the Bengals this weekend with Brock Purdy's concussion. Darnold has deserved another shot in the league for a while. We'll see what he can do with the best offense he's ever played with.
21. Gardner Minshew (IND) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Minshew
Minshew was thrown into a tough spot, being the starting quarterback for a team that passed up on him for a rookie. But he's done well so far.
20. Zach Wilson (NYJ) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Zach Wilson
It's been night and day for Zach Wilson compared to last year.
19. Russell Wilson (DEN) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is about to lose his best targets to the trade deadline.
18. Sam Howell (WSH) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Howell
Howell's had an up-and-down season. But he's proved he can start in this league and be effective.
17. Baker Mayfield (TB) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Mayfield
Baker Mayfield's sore. Maybe that's why his play has looked worse recently. Still, he has the Buccaneers competitive, and nobody even expected that.
16. Derek Carr (NO) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Carr
Derek Carr was supposed to be a top-ten quarterback with the Saints this year. The Saints' offense is healthy. It's time to be better!
15. Desmond Ridder (ATL) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Ridder
The second-year quarterback has had his mistakes. But I've also enjoyed the passing game being more effective as of late.
14. CJ Stroud (HOU) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Stroud
C.J. Stroud has just one interception for the Texans in his rookie season. That's huge.
13. Dak Prescott (DAL) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Prescott
I guess Dak is truly mediocre. We've got him 13th on the list.
12. Matthew Stafford (LAR) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Stafford
Stafford really struggled last weekend. But the thought of having Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp on the field simultaneously is encouraging.
11. Geno Smith (SEA) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Smith
Geno Smith could be better. But he also didn't have DK Metcalf last week. He's got the weapons and will likely improve as the season progresses.
10. Josh Allen (BUF) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Allen
I'm more concerned about Josh Allen. The Bills are 4-3 and in jeopardy of falling to .500. Allen's got way too many interceptions.
9. Justin Herbert (LAC) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Herbert
Justin Herbert is a .500 football player. But his fractured finger on his non-throwing hand could affect his game. Herbert says it hasn't.
8. Jared Goff (DET) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Goff
Jared Goff had no time to throw in the pocket last week against the Ravens. He could've gotten the ball out better, but the Lions lost that game when it started.
7. Joe Burrow (CIN) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Burrow
Joe Burrow has the Bengals back to .500. Now he'll need to get them over .500 and make them playoff contenders again.
6. Kirk Cousins (MIN) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Cousins
A win over the Niners, without Justin Jefferson, is why Kirk Cousins is one of the best in the NFL at quarterback.
5. Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Tua
The offense was a lot of fun to begin the year. But now the Dolphins just lost to the Eagles and scored only 17 points. That's cause for concern.
4. Trevor Lawrence (JAX) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Lawrence
How did Lawrence and the Jaguars win four games in 19 days? Lawrence is a gem.
3. Lamar Jackson (BAL) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Jackson
Look what happens when Lamar's teammates catch passes!
2. Jalen Hurts (PHI) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Hurts
Jalen Hurts responded to a loss to the Jets with a dominant performance against the Dolphins. He's back to the No. 2 spot.
1. Patrick Mahomes (KC) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best MVP odds for Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes just added over 400 yards passing with four passing touchdowns last weekend. He's still the best in the NFL, without a doubt.
