Cowboys Dak Prescott Scramble

NFL MVP Odds: Dak Prescott Soars Up Odds Leaderboard After Domination Over Giants

The 2023 NFL MVP race is chalk full of contenders, but no one has been able to pull away from the pack. Dak Prescott is now rejoining the race after several strong performances, but will he be able to climb as high as Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts? Let's take a look at the MVP odds ahead of Week 11.

NFL MVP Odds: Dak Prescott Soars Up Odds Leaderboard After Domination Over Giants

The NFL MVP race has bounced around the board this season, with no player yet to separate themselves from the field.

Patrick Mahomes leads the field for the third consecutive week, but he hasn't truly dominated the way he has in previous years that led to him winning the award. His top odds are more likely due to his name recognition, rather than the stats he has accumulated through the first half of the season.

In an already dense field of potential winners, Dak Prescott is now throwing his name in the ring after a four-touchdown thrashing of the New York Giants. The Cowboys won 49-17, and Dak racked up over 400 yards in the blowout victory.

The Cowboys have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the NFL, but if Dak can continue to put up similar numbers against these top teams, he will certainly have a shot at the award. Let's take a look at the latest odds after Week 11, and see where Prescott stands.

Prescott has risen as high as +3000 odds in some places, with the best offering at +4000 per the OddsChecker NFL MVP odds. Just a few days ago, he was all the way back at +6600, with limited hope of climbing back in the race.

The Cowboys have remaining games against the Eagles, Dolphins, Lions, and Bills, which will surely put them through a gauntlet en route to their potential playoff run. They have their last two "easy" ones against the Panthers and Commanders first, so Prescott will look to pad his stats and build some momentum before that stretch.

If the Cowboys are able to win at least half of their remaining games and see Dak Prescott continue to average close to 300 yards per game, he has a strong possibility to see an exponential increase in the MVP odds.

Prescott has been taking care of the ball much better in recent weeks, after throwing three interceptions against the San Francisco 49ers in October. He has only two picks in the four games since that embarrassment on Sunday Night Football, and a passer rating of over 100 in each contest.

Winning the NFC East would also go a long way for his candidacy in the MVP race. His division foe, Jalen Hurts, is currently at +300 odds to win the trophy while sitting in first place with -550 odds to win the division.

If Dak and the Cowboys (+350) can complete the comeback and overtake them, his chances will continue to soar. Keep an eye on both teams in the NFC East and their QB's, as they try to separate themselves from this crowded field of contenders.
