Derrick Henry Next Team Odds: Sportsbooks Give Henry 43.5% Chance To Play For Ravens Next
NFL free agency begins on Wednesday afternoon, and Derrick Henry may be one of the first running backs poised to sign a deal.
The former Tennessee Titans superstar has been the best back in the league over the last decade. His combination of size and speed was a nightmare for NFL defenses in his prime. Now at the latter stage of his career, he will look to give it one last hurrah and make a push for the Super Bowl.
Where will Derrick Henry sign in his first time hitting the open market? The contenders with the best odds include the Ravens, Cowboys, and Dolphins. Let's take a look at the latest odds to see which playoff team could grab the vet for 2024.
Derrick Henry Next Team Odds
Team | Odds | Implied Probability |
---|---|---|
Baltimore Ravens | +130 | 43.5% |
Dallas Cowboys | +220 | 31.3% |
Miami Dolphins | +1000 | 9.1% |
Los Angeles Chargers | +1100 | 8.3% |
Houston Texans | +1100 | 8.3% |
Tennessee Titans | +1200 | 7.7% |
Philadelphia Eagles | +1800 | 5.3% |
Minnesota Vikings | +1800 | 5.3% |
The Ravens opened up with +200 odds last month on DraftKings Sportsbook, and have remained the favorite throughout. He is now up to +130 odds, giving him a 43.5% implied probability to head to Baltimore.
Outside of the Ravens, the Cowboys are expected to be a major suitor for the former Alabama bellcow. They are closing in with +220 odds, and have not recommitted to Tony Pollard, hinting they may make a change or add a fellow back. The Dolphins are further back at +1000, but could be a dark horse in this free agency period if Henry is unable to reach a deal with the Ravens or Cowboys.
Henry was a major trade target during the season, as the Titans sputtered out of the gate. Ahead of the NFL trade deadline in October, he was previously favored to head to the Buffalo Bills. Teams still believe the 30-year-old has some gas left in the tank, and could definitely be used heavily in red zone situations in 2024.
Unlike Saquon Barkley who could still go back to the Giants, Henry's time with the Titans is publicly finished. They announced as much on the field after his last game, and both sides mutually agreed on the split. The Titans are still on the odds board at +1200, but it is a slim to zero chance of happening.
