There are no bye weeks yet, but with so much inconsistency from star players over the first three weeks of the season, you're likely debating between players at a certain position. Below, use our 20 players to start or sit as a tool to make your Week 4 fantasy decisions.
Quarterbacks To Play in Week 4
1. Andy Dalton, Carolina Panthers
2. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings
3. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks
Andy Dalton is coming off a 319-yard performance with three passing touchdowns. Now he'll take on an 0-3 Bengals team that couldn't even force a punt against a rookie quarterback.
Sam Darnold isn't expected to miss any time with a knee injury. That's massive news for Darnold. He's been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the game.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks have been effective in the red zone. That should continue against Detroit this weekend, which is good news for Geno Smith.
Can Geno Smith and the Seahawks take down the Lions in Week 4?
Quarterbacks To Sit in Week 4
4. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
5. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
Matthew Stafford doesn't have many weapons in the passing game right now. It took a quarter to see Stafford complete a pass against the 49ers last week.
On the other hand, Brock Purdy is dealing with a back injury. I am less confident in his play this weekend against a typically tough Patriots defense.
Not only is Brock Purdy hurt, but he's without his two biggest weapons. It's time to fade the 49ers
Running Backs To Play in Week 4
6. Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
7. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
8. Brian Robinson, Washington Commanders
It's only a matter of time before Bucky Irving steals the No. 1 running back role from Rachaad White. Todd Bowles acknowledged Irving will get a bigger workload, and if he continues to produce, he'll earn more snaps and reps than White.
Meanwhile, as long as Andy Dalton is quarterback for the Panthers, Chuba Hubbard is a play. He dominated last week and saw another five targets in the receiving game.
I'd also recommend Brian Robinson. With Austin Ekeler dealing with a concussion, Robinson's workload should increase this week.
Running Backs To Sit in Week 4
9. Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots
10. D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears
Rhamondre Stevenson and D'Andre Swift are playing with incapable offenses that will be trailing for most of this week's games.
Wide Receivers To Play in Week 4
11. Diontae Johnson, Carolina Panthers
12. Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers
Diontae Johnson will continue to get a ton of targets, especially with Adam Thielen headed to the Injured List. He's a must-play moving forward.
Meanwhile, it's not guaranteed that Jordan Love will return. He might not. But if he does, make sure to play Jayden Reed, who can make huge plays with Love as a quarterback.
Wide Receivers To Sit in Week 4
13. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
14. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
15. Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts
Xavier Worthy is not getting as many looks as expected after Week 1. It's the Rashee Rice show. Worthy might break out for a big run, but it's not worth the risk. I'm also not playing Jaylen Waddle with Tua Tagovailoa out, and I believe Alec Pierce's best days are behind him with Josh Downs back in the mix.
Tight Ends To Play in Week 4
16. Tyler Conklin, New York Jets
17. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders
Tyler Conklin got very involved last week for the Jets. He caught five balls for 93 yards and played 92% of snaps.
Meanwhile, Zach Ertz is playing his old team. He caught five passes for 38 yards on five targets and played 64 snaps last week against the Bengals. Ertz will at least be consistent with this bonafide offense.
Tight Ends To Sit in Week 4
18. Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens
19. Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens
20. Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots
The Baltimore tight ends are just not cutting it. They're hit or miss. Andrews didn't earn a single catch last week on one target after playing only 33% of snaps. Likely played 62% of snaps and caught one ball for four yards.
You also can't rely on Hunter Henry. He's added no more than 1.8 fantasy points in two of the first three games.
