NFL Fantasy Start Em, Sit Em: 20 Players to Start or Sit in Week 5
Nobody is out of the playoffs just yet! No matter your record, there's still time to get back on track! Here are 20 players to start or sit heading into Week 5.
Quarterbacks To Play in Week 5
1. Brock Purdy, Arizona Cardinals
2. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
3. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks
Brock Purdy completed 15 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown in last week's victory against the 49ers. Look for more explosive plays from Purdy this week; only this time will he likely have more touchdowns on his resume. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield has already had two games with nearly 30 fantasy points. He's a solid quarterback with the potential to put up top-ten numbers this weekend. Finally, Geno Smith is coming off a 395-yard passing game against the Lions. Detroit's got a lethal pass rush and he still managed to add a ton of passing yards. That won't change against the Giants.

Quarterbacks To Sit in Week 5
4. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings
5. Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
I know Sam Darnold has thrown multiple touchdowns in the last four games. But against the Jets, it's unlikely. Add the fact that the game is in London, and I wouldn't touch him this week against the NYJ defense. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson is questionable with a shoulder injury. After Joe Flacco looked better than him last week, I'd be concerned about Richardson's health and potential playing time.
Running Backs To Play in Week 5
6. Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs
7. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
8. Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
Kareem Hunt saw 14 carries for 69 yards last week and played in 45% of snaps. He also recorded two catches on three targets. With nearly the entire offense injured, Hunt should be involved lots this weekend. On the other hand, Chuba Hubbard has rushed for at least 104 yards in back-to-back games. He even scored a touchdown last week. With Andy Dalton under center, Hubbard is a legit No. 1 running back.
For one, Bijan Robinson is injured. Secondly, Tyler Allgeier has outplayed Robinson in back-to-back games, rushing the football. Allgeier will likely continue to see more carries and is a sneaky flex play in a deep league.

Running Backs To Sit in Week 5
9. Cam Akers, Houston Texans
10. Zamir White, Las Vegas Raiders
Cam Akers continues to miss holes, making it harder on the Texans' offensive line. If Joe Mixon is out, don't bother with Akers. Zamir White saw 59% of snaps last week against the Browns and still only recorded 2.9 yards per rush on 17 carries. Forget him.
Wide Receivers To Play in Week 5
11. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
12. Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers
Jordan Love might've had a bad game, but Jayden Reed didn't last week. Reed added seven catches on eight targets and earned 139 yards receiving with a touchdown. That'll continue to be the case with Love under center, especially with injured Christian Watson. Meanwhile, Xavier Worthy is a play with Rashee Rice, who is currently out with a knee injury.
Wide Receivers To Sit in Week 5
13. Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
14. Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons
15. Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns
We might never see Davante Adams in a Raiders uniform again. But it's still not the right time to play Jakobi Meyers, who only caught five of ten receptions last week against the Browns. There needs to be more consistent play at quarterback. With a road game against Denver, I wouldn't take the risk. Conversely, Darnell Mooney has recorded no more than three receptions in three of four games, and Jerry Jeudy's value is based on him making the endzone, which won't happen much on the Browns.
Tight Ends To Play in Week 5
16. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
17. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
With Jordan Love back under center, Tucker Kraft saw six receptions on nine targets for 53 yards and a touchdown. He's a legit No. 1 tight end in a 12-team league. I also like Cole Kmet's matchup against the Panthers this week. He'll be inconsistent all year, but this week could be a good one.
Tight Ends To Sit in Week 5
18. Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens
19. Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens
20. Colby Parkinson, TE, Los Angeles Rams
Just don't bother with the Baltimore Ravens tight ends anymore. Parkinson has played over 80% of snaps all season and still hasn't added more than 33 receiving yards since Puka and Kupp went down. Forget him.
