2024 NFL Power Rankings: Ranking All 32 Teams Heading into Week 15
The NFL has not exactly played out as we had assumed as we entered the 2024 season. The Dallas Cowboys are a dumpster fire, the Minnesota Vikings are one of the best teams in the NFL and the New York Giants can't win a game. Okay, maybe we saw the last one coming, but still.
But, the standings don't always tell the whole picture. The Lions and Chiefs have the best record in the NFL, but are they the best team? Let's take a look at my complete NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 15 to find out.

Week 15 NFL Power Rankings
1. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2)
Philly has been the hottest team in the NFL over the past two months. After a 2-2 start to the season, the Eagles have won nine consecutive games, largely thanks to their running game and defense.
Philly remains the best team in football right now, led by MVP hopeful Saquon Barkley, who set the Eagles' single-season rushing record last weekend against the Carolina Panthers.
2. Detroit Lions (12-1)
Dan Campbell's team is on its way to its second consecutive NFC North Championship and has the best record in the entire conference.
The Lions have been the best offensive team in football this season but have struggled recently with injuries on the defensive side. Detroit will have their toughest test of the season against the Buffalo Bills this week.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (12-1)
Patrick Mahomes and company are looking to make history by becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. They have won 12 of their 13 games this season but haven't done it in convincing fashion.
The Chiefs will soon claim another AFC West Championship. KC is coming off a thrilling 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night.
4. Minnesota Vikings (11-2).
There has been no bigger surprise in the NFL this season than the Vikings. Minnesota entered the season expected to finish last in the NFC North but is challenging the Lions for the top spot.
Kevin O, Connell is one of the favorites to win Coach of the Year while veteran Sam Darnold has reinvented himself in Minnesota and looked like the top-10 pick he was.
5. Buffalo Bills (10-3)
The Bills will attempt to bounce back from a tough loss on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. The loss was not a result of a lack of offense as the Bills dropped 42 points in the losing effort thanks to an insane six TDs from Josh Allen.
Allen is the betting favorite to win NFL MVP but it's going to take wins down the stretch to lock in the award fro the Buffalo signal caller.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)
Head Coach Mike Tomlin continues to defy the odds this season. On paper, the Steelers are not the most talented team in the world but they keep finding ways to stack wins.
The Steelers will have a tough test this weekend on the road against the Eagles as they go against the best defense and best running back in the NFL.
7. Baltimore Ravens (8-5).
John Harbaugh has the best eight-win team in the NFL. After a 0-2 start to the season, Baltimore posted a record of 8-3. Still, there have been some struggles from the Ravens in close games.
Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry lead one of the best rushing attacks in the history of the NFL, but how efficient can they be when needing to throw the ball from behind?
8. Green Bay Packers (9-4)
The Packers will attempt to rebound from Thursday night's heartbreaking loss to the division-rival Detroit Lions. The Pack are enjoying a 9-4 season but are still third in the NFC North.
Jordan Love has had a strong season, leading one of the best offensive teams in football. Green Bay will face Seattle this weekend.
9. Seattle Seahawks (8-5)
The Seahawks are all of a sudden one of football's hottest teams. Geno Smith leads a dynamic Seattle offense and has followed up on a great 2023 with another great season.
Seattle leads the NFC West after a road win over the Arizona Cardinals this past weekend and will look to hold off the 49ers and Rams down the stretch.
10. San Francisco 49ers (6-7)
The Niners have struggled to stay healthy this season as they've had major injuries to starters at just about every single position. However, the 49ers are the best team in the NFL under .500.
If San Fran can make the playoffs, they will be a dangerous team that no opponent would want to play. The talent on the 49ers may be enough to overcome the long list of injuries.
11. Los Angeles Chargers (8-5).
Jim Harbaugh has done an outstanding job in year one with the Chargers. Harbaugh has led Los Angeles to being the best-scoring defense in football.
The Chargers will attempt to rebound from a 19-16 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6)
Todd Bowles' team controls its own destiny to win the NFC South this season. The Bucs' season has not always been pretty, but they continue to find ways to string together wins.
Baker Mayfield and company face the Chargers on the road this weekend in what should be a great matchup between two teams looking to make the playoffs.
13. Houston Texans (8-5)
The season has been up and down for the Texans. The good news for Houston is that they play in the worst division in football. The bad news is that they look like a different team every time they take the field.
The Texans lead the AFC South by two games over the Indianapolis Colts and should have no problem winning the division and clinching a spot in the postseason.
14. Denver Broncos (8-5)
The Broncos have been one of the best stories in football this season. With five games remaining, the Broncos control their destiny to reach the playoffs.
Rookie Bo Nix has himself in the Rookie of the Year conversation after his strong play in year one. Despite a strong start from Jayden Daniels, Nix is surging at the right time.
15. Miami Dolphins (6-7)
The Dolphins are clicking at the right time and attempting to make a run at the postseason. After a rough start to the year, the Dolphins' margin for error is slim.
When this team has been healthy, it has been one of the best offenses in football. However, the AFC has lots of good teams ahead of Miami in the postseason race.
16. Washington Commanders (8-5)
Early in the season, the Commanders appeared to be a top-ten football team. However, the past month has not been as kind to the Commanders.
Two weeks ago, the Commanders took care of business against a bad Titans team. This past week, the Commanders got a much-needed bye.
Rookie signal-caller Jayden Daniels is the current betting favorite to win Offensive ROTY.
17. Los Angeles Rams (7-6)
Sean McVay's team has inserted themselves back into the playoff conversation with strong play the last two weeks.
The Rams have playoff experience and are playing some of their best football this season. Los Angeles is coming off an important home win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.
18. Atlanta Falcons (6-7)
After a hot start to the season, the Falcons have struggled lately, losing four straight games as we enter Week 15. There was some hope that they could challenge the Vikings in Week 14, but Minnesota pulled away in the end and put up 40+ points on Atlanta.
The good news for the Falcons is that the NFC South is wide open as they trail the first-place Bucs by one game.
19. Indianapolis Colts (6-7)
It's been a weird season for the Indianapolis Colts. Indy has had ups and downs in the season, including their second-year QB requesting to come out of the game because he's tired.
Still, the Colts have stayed in the hunt as we approach Christmas.
Indianapolis is coming off a hard-fought 25-24 win over the New England Patriots two weeks ago.
20. Arizona Cardinals (6-7)
Arizona had an opportunity to remain in first place in the West but came up short last weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.
Arizona has struggled lately, losing three straight games, so I have them falling down my NFL power rankings. The Cardinals will host the New England Patriots this weekend.
21. Cincinnati Bengals (5-7)
The Bengals are the best five-win team in the NFL. That's not saying too much, but it's still something to note.
Joe Burrow is having the best statistical season of his career and would be the NFL MVP frontrunner if the Bengals were winning games more consistently.
If the Bengals can play better on defense, they will keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
22. New Orleans Saints (5-8)
New Orleans appeared to be one of the best teams in the NFL after two weeks. Unfortunately, the injuries of the Saints have slowed this team down and they are 3-8 since then.
QB Derek Carr looks like he will miss extended time with a hand injury. New Orleans is coming off a win over the New York Giants.
23. Dallas Cowboys (5-8)
Few teams have been as disappointing as the Dallas Cowboys this season. This past week, they looked poised to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, getting the ball back tied at 20 with 2 minutes left. Still, the Cowboys managed to lose the game in regulation.
One reason for the Cowboy's struggles has been the absence of Dak Prescott. Dallas has won two of their last three games but last week's heartbreaker may have ruined their season.
24. Chicago Bears (4-9)
The Bears have had an extremely disappointing season, especially considering the hot start they got out to.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams continues to struggle making reads and playing on time within the offense. The Bears have lost seven consecutive games.
25. New York Jets (3-10)
New York came into the year as the co-betting favorite to win the AFC East. Unfortunately for the Jets, the season has been a disaster.
Aaron Rodgers has looked terrible under center for New York and the defense, which was supposed to be one of the best in the NFL, has gotten torched.
The Jets have lost four straight games.
26. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10)
The season could not have gone worse for the Jags and head coach Doug Pederson. There will be a lot of question marks surrounding this team entering the offseason, including those questioning if Trevor Lawrence is the answer.
Jacksonville has lost five of their last six games.
27. Tennessee Titans (3-10)
The Titans have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season thanks in large part to less-than-stellar QB play from Will Levis.
The Titans are in a full rebuild at this point, looking to prepare for and position themselves in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Titans host the Bengals this weekend.
28. Cleveland Browns (3-10)
The Browns began the year viewed as a fringe playoff contender, but the injuries of the Browns have slowed them down.
However, even before he got injured, Deshaun Watson looked bad and had Browns fans wondering if he's really the QB of the future in Cleveland.
Cleveland has lost back-to-back games.
29. New England Patriots (3-10)
Entering the season, New England was expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL and the Patriots have lived up to those expectations.
The good news for New England is Drake Maye appears to be a franchise quarterback. The bad news is that hasn't necessarily led to wins this season.
30. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11)
2024 was not kind to the Raiders thanks to a lot of different factors, including injuries and bad luck.
The Raiders will be in rebuild mode in the offseason, looking to build a strong core in the NFL Draft. Las Vegas has lost nine straight games.
31. Carolina Panthers (3-10)
The Panthers have had a rough season but look to actually be trending in the right direction.
The bright side of the bad season is Bryce Young has played much better since his benching and has them playing as a much more competitive team.
Carolina hosts the Cowboys this weekend.
32. New York Giants (2-11)
The Giants have been a disaster in 2024 and I'm not entirely sure that anything could save them.
They let Saquon Barley and Xavier McKinney walk this offseason. Now, Barkey is the betting favorite to win Offensive Player of the Year and McKinney is in the running to win Defensive Player of the Year.
New York is hopeful for the top pick in this year's draft. The Giants have lost eight straight games.
