NFL Conference Championship Exact Matchups: Latest Hypothetical Odds for NFC, AFC Championship Games

As we prepare to watch four exciting Divisional Round games this weekend, it's important to look ahead to next week's NFC and AFC Championship games for potential value bets before they happen. Sportsbooks like FanDuel and others have hypothetical lines set up for any potential matchups that could occur, so you can see how each team could stack up on their path to the Super Bowl.

For example, The Lions would be a heavy home favorite against the Rams, but would be less than a field-goal spread if the Eagles came to town. If you're looking to make futures bets on the Super Bowl and other props in the next few weeks, check out these hypotheticals to see how your bet will fare on the way to the big game.

Let's look ahead to the most likely championship round matchups, and see how each team stacks up to get you ready for betting on the NFC and AFC Championships.

NFC Championship Hypothetical Odds

No. 2 Philadelphia Eagles vs. No. 1 Detroit Lions (-2.5)

The most likely scenario on the NFC side would be the Eagles taking on the Lions next Sunday afternoon. The Eagles are a 6-point home favorite against the Rams in the Divisional Round, while the Lions are nearly double-digit favorites against the Commanders on Saturday night. If both higher seeds take care of business on their home field, the Lions would host the Eagles at Ford Field in the NFC Championship.

According to the latest FanDuel Sportsbook hypothetical odds, the Lions would be less than a field-goal favorite when hosting the NFC Championship against the Eagles. Both teams are boasting some of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, while also owning top-10 rushing defenses. It would be a true battle of wills, and an exciting clash for fans that seems increasingly likely to occur based on the divisional round odds this weekend.

No. 4 Los Angeles Rams vs. No. 1 Detroit Lions (-6.5)

It's no secret that the Lions will be hoping for a Rams upset on Sunday, as it would create a significantly better matchup for Detroit at home. Instead of worrying about Saquon Barkley and the Eagles, they would get yet another clash with former Detroit star, Matthew Stafford. Stafford got the best of the Lions in their first matchup back in 2021 on the way to a Super Bowl victory, but it's been all Detroit since.

The Lions took down the Rams by one point in last year's opening round of the playoffs, and then outlasted them in an overtime slugfest back in Week 1 of this year. While the Rams have improved, the Lions would have a open season against a weaker Rams defense compared to the Eagles, which explains why the line is almost a touchdown here vs. the -2.5 against Philly.

AFC Championship Hypothetical Odds

No. 3 Baltimore Ravens vs. No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5)

It would only be fitting for these teams to meet again in the AFC Championship after opening the season with a thriller on Thursday Night Football back in September. The Ravens came storming back against the Chiefs at Arrowhead in Week 1, and thought they tied the game on the final play. However, Isaiah Likely's toe was just barely out of bounds in the end zone, and the Chiefs hung on to win.

The Chiefs are expected to win by more than a touchdown against the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon, leaving the other leg of this matchup to the Ravens. Baltimore is a narrow -115 favorite on the road against the Buffalo Bills to conclude the divisional round on Sunday night, so in the event that Lamar Jackson and the Ravens emerge victorious, they will head back to Kansas City for revenge.

The Chiefs were -3 in that original matchup, but according to the FanDuel hypothetical odds, they would only be -1.5 this time, with a decent shot of flipping to Baltimore as a favorite, similar to how the Ravens opened up at +1.5 this week against the Bills before crossing over to -1 after big money came in on them.

No. 2 Buffalo Bills vs. No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5)

No matter who wins on Sunday night, the Chiefs will be in for a massive test in the AFC Championship game. Kansas City is vying for a seventh-straight appearance if they can get past the Texans this weekend, and they will have their work cut out for them with either the Bills or Ravens.

The Bills already battled the Chiefs this year, if you'll recall their 30-21 victory back in mid November. It was the first loss of the season for the previously 9-0 Chiefs, who came up short on the road in Buffalo. So unlike trying to hold off the Ravens quest to get even in the other matchup, the Chiefs would be the motivated ones looking for revenge if they got the Bills. It's important to note that the Chiefs have taken the Bills down in all three of their recent playoff meetings.

According to the FD look-ahead odds, it would be the exact same -1.5 spread for the Chiefs if either team comes to town. The Bills are getting a slight dip on the moneyline price compared to the Ravens, clocking in at +100 instead of Baltimore's -110. Both of their potential opponents have been improving throughout the year, and appear to be playing their best football over the last month.
