2025 NFL Draft No. 1 Pick Odds: Cam Ward Given 99.5% Chance To Go First Overall

After an insane season with the Miami Hurricanes, Cam Ward is nearly a lock to go first overall to the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ward rose up the draft boards this season after posting 4,313 yards passing with 39 passing touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He was second in college football with an 88.7 QBR.

These stats weren't surprising. They just proved that he was the real deal. Ward played two seasons at Washington State before transferring to Miami for his final season. In those two previous years, Ward delivered 48 passing touchdowns and threw for nearly 7,000 yards.

With the Hurricanes, he averaged 9.5 yards per pass, which was the highest average of his college career. He delivered big play after big play and is now ready to join a professional squad.

The Tennessee Titans won't officially announce their No. 1 overall selection until Thursday. However, it's widely projected that he'll be the No. 1 overall pick and wear a Tennessee Titans hat on Thursday night. He's currently listed at -20000 to be drafted first overall via FanDuel. Those odds give Ward a 99.5% chance of being drafted first!

Cam Ward Is Expected To Land With The Titans

It's no surprise anymore. Cam Ward is likely heading to Tennessee to compete for the starting job agaisnt Will Levis.

He's got the potential to be one of the next great quarterbacks in Tennessee history. There aren't too many quarterbacks up there for the Titans.

The Titans enjoyed great careers from Warren Moon and Steve McNair, and Vince Young was fun. However, Titans fans haven't had a superstar quarterback for more than a decade. The Titans have to be thrilled to be in this position to draft a player like Ward.

Ward has terrific athleticism and mobility, and he can throw on the move. He's also grown so much over the years and has a ton of upside from playing five years of college football. This experience should help him adjust to the NFL rather quickly.

Plus, while Shedeur Sanders and other quarterbacks fall down the rankings, Ward continues to stay steady at No. 1. It seems like most scouts and executives believe Ward is the No. 1 quarterback talent in the NFL Draft this season by a heavy margin.

That said, Ward to the Titans isn't official. But it will be once Thursday night rolls around. Tennessee's dynasty is about to get started. That's why he's got a probability of 99.5% to land first overall on Thursday.
