The NFL hasn't seen anything like Travis Hunter. But it's about to.
Travis Hunter made history by being the first two-player to win the Heisman Award since the early 1960s. He was also the first to win the award while playing significant minutes on both sides of the ball since Charles Woodson in 1997.
In addition, Hunter became the 5th player in college football to win the Heisman Award as a full-time receiver.
He expects to play both sides of the ball in the NFL, too.
Ultimately, Hunter could play another season in college football. He's only played three seasons, including one at Jackson State and the other two in Colorado. He'd be a senior this season. But he's going to feed off his recent success and will likely be drafted in the top three of this year's NFL Draft. There's no reason to delay the chance to play in the NFL.
That said, it's unlikely Hunter will end up in Tennessee. The Titans are already zeroing in on a quarterback and are expected to take Cam Ward with the first overall selection.
However, the Cleveland Browns have the second pick of the NFL Draft and are currently -1200 to draft Hunter. That gives the Browns and Hunter marriage a 90% probability. Is this the best landing spot for Hunter on Thursday? Let's talk about it below.

The Browns have already publicly praised Travis Hunter. General Manager Andrew Berry compared Hunter to Shohei Ohtani, who is one of the best hitters in the MLB, but also pitches at a very high level.
Ultimately, if Hunter ends up with the Browns, he would likely play more at wide receiver. However, Hunter acknowledged that he wants to play both sides of the coin, or he'd quit football altogether. Once Hunter is drafted by the Browns or any other team, he'll get on the same page with his new team.
The Browns know Hunter's intentions and aren't against allowing him to play both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, this is the NFL, not college football. It'll be hard for Hunter to sustain success and impact the game at a high level on both sides of the ball in a professional league like the NFL. He'll probably learn that eventually.
Whatever team drafts Hunter, they will do what they think is best to protect Hunter and his longevity. The last thing any team wants is to draft a player and have him impact a few years before declining due to too many hits or injuries from playing both sides of the ball.
However, it's pretty amusing reading mock drafts and other insights. Some teams value Hunter more on the defensive side of the ball, while the Browns specifically acknowledged they'd want to use Hunter as a wide receiver.
The Browns have historically underperformed. They've been evaluated very poorly, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Therefore, it'll be interesting to see if Hunter tries anything to force himself to leave the Browns and join a different team. That's happened before in the NFL with Eli Manning and many other high-level prospects.
As of now, it's more than likely Hunter will go to the Cleveland Browns as the No. 2 overall pick as a wide receiver. But the versatility for Hunter should at least land him a chance to play both sides of the ball. Personally, I think it'll be too much for him. But we won't know until we see it.
