2025 NFL MVP Odds: Josh Allen Takes Control of NFL MVP Race After Unlikely Comeback Over Ravens

Here we go again, a two-horse race after only one week. The NFL MVP race is shaping up to be another Allen vs. Jackson battle if Week 1 was any indication. The pair delivered a thriller on Sunday Night Football, with Allen and the Bills climbing back from a 15-point deficit with only four minutes remaining. They were aided by a Derrick Henry fumble in Baltimore territory, but the Bills defense stood tall and Allen delivered the winning drives.

That's back-to-back victories for the Bills in this series dating back to last year's playoffs, and it's extra salt in the wound for Lamar Jackson who played phenomenally. He was also edged out by Allen in the MVP race a season ago, and was looking like he had revenge until the final minutes.

Can anyone else compete with these two superstar quarterbacks in the race this year? Let's take a look at the latest 2025 NFL MVP Odds as we enter Week 2.

NFL MVP Odds Breakdown

Josh Allen (+340) Click here to get the best odds at Caesars Sportsbook

Josh Allen surged up from +600 to +340 best odds at Caesars Sportsbook this week, and it's well deserving. Allen engineered one of the more shocking comebacks in NFL history, in large part due to the few minutes remaining. He passed for nearly 400 yards, threw two touchdowns, and rushed for two more in the 41-40 comeback win on Sunday Night Football.

The Bills will now be a -6.5 favorite against the New York Jets on Sunday, looking for a similar season sweep like a year ago. Allen is now crushing in most QB statistical categories, and will have a chance to extend that lead against a Jets defense that was lit up by Aaron Rodgers for four touchdowns in Week 1.

Lamar Jackson (+450) Click here to get the best odds at Caesars Sportsbook

Jackson seemed like he had full control over this game, as the Ravens held a 40-25 advantage and the stands began to empty in the fourth quarter. He accounted for over 275 total yards, with two passing touchdowns and an impressive rushing touchdown on top of it. As well as he played, it wasn't quite as good as Allen, especially in the comeback. But his best odds did increase from +500 to +450 in the loss.

Jackson will a chance to take out his frustrations in Week 2, with the Ravens opening as the largest favorite of the slate (-10.5) over the Cleveland Browns. Look for him to put up several touchdowns in this one as Baltimore tries to get back on track after the heartbreak.

Jayden Daniels (+1000) Click here to get the best odds at Bet365 Sportsbook

Jayden Daniels led the Commanders to a solid 21-6 win over the Giants, but didn't have an insane stat line. He accounted for just about 300 total yards, with only one touchdown. He climbs a bit here over Joe Burrow, but will have to put up bigger numbers if he wants to be in the mix with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Other Contenders

Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow, both sitting with +1100 odds, saw their chances fall a bit in Week 1. Burrow especially, who delivered a mediocre performance in a tight victory over the Browns. He was a weak 14/23 for just 113 yards and a touchdown in a game that Cincinnati could have easily lost. Burrow fell from +600 to +1100 here, the biggest drop of the week.

Mahomes was better, but ultimately came up short against the Chargers in Brazil. He scored a TD on the ground and through the air, but the Chiefs couldn't do enough to get past LA, and his odds tumbled a bit because of that. It won't get any easier as KC takes on the Eagles this week at home, but a great opportunity for Super Bowl revenge.
