The Los Angeles Chargers step into Monday Night Football facing the defending champions, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in what could be one of the most pivotal games of their season. Chargers Playoff Odds
The Chargers currently sit at 8-4, but they are projected to face one of the toughest closing schedules in the league. Oddsmakers have them at -210 to make the playoffs, but that number reflects both their current record and the tightening margins in a crowded AFC race.
Los Angeles could very realistically be underdogs in each of their remaining games. After the Eagles tonight, they travel to face the Chiefs and Cowboys in back to back weeks, host the surging Texans, and close the year with a trip to Denver against the 11-2 Broncos. With their offensive line in pieces and Herbert navigating injury, this is a treacherous stretch for a team still fighting to lock in a wild card spot.
There is still a mathematical chance for the AFC West at +750, but that door is nearly shut. Denver’s dominance has left little room for error, and the Chargers would likely need to win out while getting massive help from elsewhere. The more realistic goal is simply holding onto a playoff position. Their current price reflects that they remain in the driver’s seat, but any slip in the final month could flip the math quickly.

Chargers Super Bowl Odds
As for the Super Bowl, Los Angeles sits at +2500 in what has become the most top heavy conference in recent memory. The AFC is stacked with elite defenses and explosive offenses, and the Chargers are not equipped to go blow for blow with those contenders given their injury situation. If they do reach the postseason, expectations will be modest. Survive the gauntlet, get in, and hope for one postseason win. Anything beyond that would be far beyond what this battered roster reasonably projects to deliver.
