PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers For 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge
Scottie Scheffler is a massive betting favorite in Fort Worth, Texas this week for the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge. The World No. 1 golfer just won his first PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club on Sunday. Now, he'll attempt to record three consecutive wins for the first time in his highly decorated PGA Tour career at Colonial Country Club.
Scheffler is currently as short as +250 in the Charles Schwab Challenge outright winner betting markets. He's logged three consecutive top-three finishes at this event and will look to avenge a five-stroke loss to last year's winner, Davis Riley. Riley is currently +5500 to defend his title, which hasn't been done at this event since Ben Hogan in 1954 and 1955.
Other notable golfers teeing it up in Fort Worth this week include a pair of former Charles Schwab Challenge champions. 2016 winner Jordan Spieth is the second betting favorite behind Scheffler at a ridiculously long +2500 odds. 2020 champion, Daniel Berger, is also +2500 odds, joining Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood at this price.

PGA Power Rankings: Charles Schwab Challenge
1. Scottie Scheffler (+250) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Charles Schwab Challenge odds
I wrote off Scottie Scheffler during the PGA Championship due to his lack of experience playing Quail Hollow Club. This wound up being a costly mistake.
Now, Scheffler's pre-event outright winner odds have shortened from +500 a week ago to +250 ahead of Round 1 at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Scheffler will have an even bigger contingent of fans cheering him on as a resident and native of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Hardly a flaw can be found in Scheffler's game right now. He's been dominant tee-to-green since returning to the PGA Tour earlier this year, ranked first in total strokes gained, including SG: Approach, scoring average, and par 4s.
There's plenty of course history that has yielded quality finishes in recent years. Riding a huge wave of momentum and looking to win three-in-a-row for the first time, let's bet a unit on Scheffler to finally win the Charles Schwab Challenge as the consensus favorite at +250 odds.
2. Daniel Berger (+2500) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Charles Schwab Challenge odds
Getting Daniel Berger shorter than 30-1 is likely due to his victory at this event five years ago. Berger's won four times on the PGA Tour but it's been four years since that happened at the 2021 Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Berger has undergone some back injuries, limiting his playing capacity until this season. So far, the 32-year-old Florida native has a pair of top 10 finishes, including a runner-up at the WM Phoenix Open and more recently, a T3 at the RBC Heritage.
Ranks eighth total strokes gained. This includes 17th SG: Off-the-Tee and 15th SG: Approach. Accurate with his driver and hits over 68 percent of greens in regulation, both 33rd or better on the PGA Tour. Only the putter remains an issue in Berger's bag.
Let's bet a quarter unit on Berger to win the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge to get over six units of profit at 25-1 odds.
3. Aaron Rai (+3300) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Charles Schwab Challenge odds
Aaron Rai has been a stud with his driver and irons. His game aligns nicely with the short par 70 that Colonial Country Club has in store.
33-1 is available to grab on Rai, following a T19 at the PGA Championship. The Englishman does have a tendency to score low in Round 1 before faltering down the stretch, which is why I'm only investing a quarter unit on Rai to win at +3300 odds.
He's 16th for greens in regulation hit (69.5%), first in driving accuracy, and 20th SG: Approach. Rai lacks distance off-the-tee and is 96th SG: Putting, while also 147th on approach shots from 200+ yards.
For the good, Rai is averaging over four birdies per round (4.16) in 2025. He's also sixth on par 4s, which will be plentiful at Colonial Country Club.
There's enough to like about Rai's tee-to-green game to back him for a 0.25 unit outright winner wager at +3300 odds at the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.
4. J.J. Spaun (+5000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Charles Schwab Challenge odds
Despite dueling with Rory McIlroy at The PLAYERS Championship in mid-March, J.J. Spaun remains undervalued by oddsmakers this week at 50-1 in the outright winner betting market. He's coming off of a pedestrian T37 finish at Quail Hollow Club.
Spaun hasn't been the same since his water shot against McIlroy in the three-hole aggregate playoff at TPC Sawgrass. He's missed a cut and has only one top 25 finish in his last five events played.
I'm still bullish on Spaun to climb the leaderboard at Colonial Country Club this week. He's ranked 16th in total strokes gained, like fourth SG: Approach, sixth in total driving and 13th in proximity. This is the perfect formula for navigating a short, compact course like Colonial.
Missed the cut at Colonial in 2024 with a +5 but enters with much better form this season. Spaun's lone PGA Tour victory also came in the Lone Star State at the 2022 Valero Texas Open.
Let's bet another 0.25 unit wager on Spaun to win this week at a generous 50-1 price.
5. Lucas Glover (+8000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Charles Schwab Challenge odds
I'll continue to back Lucas Glover in outright markets at 80-1 odds. The veteran has been playing great golf tee-to-green in 2025, while ranked 32nd SG: Approach and fifth proximity.
Glover is the sixth-most accurate with his driver on the PGA Tour. 31st on approach shots from 200+ yards and 37th in putting average.
It's been a mixed bag of finishes for Glover lately but he's coming off of a bad stretch, going T61-T66-T37 ahead of Round 1 at Colonial Country Club. Grabbed a T12 finish (-3) here in 2024.
A 0.10 unit sprinkle still nets eight units of profit if Glover can keep his putter hot to compliment his tee-to-green accuracy. Let's fire on Glover as my favorite longshot prospect to win outright at 80-1 odds this week.
