Rory McIlroy 2025 PGA Championship Odds, Betting Preview and Predictions
Rory McIlroy will look for his second major of the year when he competes at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 2025 PGA Championship.
McIlroy has already won the Masters and two other tournaments this year. He's been the best golfer in 2025. Additionally, he's had lots of success at Quail Hollow, including multiple Wells Fargo (Truist) Championships in 2010, 2015, 2021, and 2024. He's the only golfer ever to win the tournament four times at the Quail Hollow course.
Beyond that, he currently has a course record of 10-under 61 in 2015.
His recent success in 2025 and dominance at the Quail Hollow Club make him an easy candidate to win the 2025 PGA Championship this year. He's currently +450, just behind Scottie Scheffler (+400) to win the PGA Championship. Is there enough value there?

Rory McIlroy has a lot more confidence in 2025. The pressure of earning a Grand Slam is off his chest and now he's really enjoying himself again.
Ultimately, Rory loves to drive the ball, and that works out well at Quail Hollow. He's a combined 102 under par in his career and has had lots of luck taking bunkers out of play, especially on the 16th hole.
I'd expect McIlroy to take advantage of the length off the tee.
That said, the course will be set up harder than it was at the Wells Fargo (Trusit) Championships. The rough is expected to be a little longer, and slopes on many of the greens will likely be softened. But no matter what happens, McIlroy will be super confident and excited to compete. He's got a real chance to win it all again.

The weather isn't expected to be great. A lot of stormy buildup is predicted. That said, the golf course will be softer, which will put an even larger premium on length off the tee. That will help McIlroy more than other golfers.
His experience in this course is going to play a major role. Even McIlroy admitted that there's probably no place on the golf course where he hasn't hit the ball. He's got memories and knows this course very well.
A top-five finish is very attainable for the PGA legend.

Last week, Rory didn't even feel like he played well. Yet, he earned 7th place at the Truist Championship, which was played at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
Yet, he feels like he's heading into a good spot this weekend. He's got the potential to earn the real grand slam, winning all the major championships in a single season. Therefore, I'd like to think he'll reach the top ten on a course he's super familiar with while playing at a high enough level.
