The Wanamaker Trophy is at stake, along with a $25 million purse, with a $4.5 million payout awarded to the winner of the 2025 PGA Championship this week. 156 of the world's best golfers will compete at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Quail Hollow Club is a par 71 that runs over 7,600 yards in length. Distance and power off the tee are critical, along with accuracy tee-to-green to avoid four-inch rough and tree-lined fairways. The closing three-hole stretch, dubbed "The Green Mile", features water hazards and no par 5s, saving the toughest test for last.
This is the second major of the 2025 PGA Tour season. Let's have some fun and dive into the Make the Cut and Miss the Cut betting markets ahead of Round 1 teeing off on Thursday morning.

2025 PGA Championship Make/Miss the Cut
Max Homa to Make the Cut (-130) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
Max Homa won the 2019 and 2022 Wells Fargo Championship events held here at Quail Hollow Club. The California native has struggled to get going in 2025 but is trending up in the last month.
Homa carded a T12 finish at The Masters, which snapped a streak of five consecutive missed cuts. He then carded a 70th-place finish in a cut-free Signature Event at the RBC Heritage, before bouncing back with a T30 finish at the Truist Championship in Philadelphia last week.
Homa knows this course and should be playing with plenty of confidence as a result. Let's bet a unit on Homa to make the cut at the 2025 PGA Championship at -130 odds.
Rasmus Hojgaard to Make the Cut (-140) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
Rasmus Højgaard is one of the best bombers off the tee on the PGA Tour. The Denmark native ranks eighth in driving distance and seventh in approach shots from 200+ yards.
Højgaard making the cut at Quail Hollow Club this week depends on whether he can clean up his tee-to-green accuracy. He ranks outside the top 100 in SG: Approach, SG: Putting, scrambling, driving accuracy and proximity.
Oddsmakers have Højgaard priced at -140 to make the cut for a reason. However, he's coming off of a T23 at the Truist Championship, going even par or lower in three of four rounds. Also went T32 at The Masters during the first major of the season.
Let's toss another unit on Højgaard to find a way to make the cut and play golf this weekend.
Sergio Garcia to Make the Cut (+160) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
Sergio Garcia is past his prime but he's enjoyed a highly decorated career on the PGA Tour, amassing 11 total wins, including The Masters in 2017.
Garcia missed the cut at The Masters last month, shooting 72-76 to wind up +4. He's currently ranked outside the top 20 for greens in regulation hit and driving distance at LIV. His team, Fireballs GC, has three finishes outside the top 30 in its last four events played.
I'm fading Garcia due to his lack of distance off-the-tee and inaccuracy on approach. He's currently a good value to miss the cut at +160 odds, so let's jump on this number and bet a unit on Garcia to miss the cut at a second consecutive major in 2025.
Will Zalatoris to Miss the Cut (+130) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best PGA Championship odds
I like Will Zalatoris' game tee-to-green, especially at a long course like Quail Hollow Club. His putting is simply too atrocious to back in the make the cut betting market.
Zalatoris ranks 19th SG: Approach and 10th in proximity. These are encouraging stats but he's 105th in driving distance, 100th on approach shots from 200+ yards, 153rd scrambling and 162nd in putts per round.
The 28-year-old American lost to Justin Thomas in a playoff at the 2022 PGA Championship but that was at a different course and before Zalatoris underwent back surgery in 2023.
Since that surgery, Zalatoris has not looked the same. He's missed the cut only once in 10 events this season but it came at Augusta National during The Masters. Also coming off of back-to-back T54 finishes at a pair of Signature Events where no cut line was enforced.
I'm fading Zalatoris until he can prove he's turned a corner with his short game. Let's bet a unit on Zalatoris to miss the cut this week at +130 odds.
