Stanley Cup Odds: Devils Recent Favorite to Win Stanley Cup Following Timo Meier Trade
Prior to the Timo Meier trade, the books weren’t all that in on the Devils. They were given +1800 odds, or an implied 5.3% chance to win it all. That had them ninth on the market and sixth in the East. With Meier in hand now, that all changed.

New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Odds
The Devils are now given odds as low as +900, or an implied 10% chance to win the cup. The only teams in the NHL, given better odds, are the Bruins, +475, and the Avalanche, +650. They’ve jumped the Hurricanes, Leafs, Rangers, and Lightening just with this one move.
Things can still change as the deadline looms, but for now, the Devils have become one of the favorites to win the league. It’s the first time they’ve been top-3 on the odds market at this point in the season since the 2000-01 season.
Timo Meier is a star, and adding him will make an already potent Devils offense arguably the best in the NHL. But their big question remains their youth. Can a team as young as the Devils win a Cup? With another star in Meier, the books are starting to believe they can.
