PGA golfer Tyler Duncan may need to take a mulligan on his relationship after hitting his wife with a wild drive during last weekend's AT&T event at Bryon Nelson.

Fortunately his wife Maria came away without any injuries but she's one birdie that he won't want to hit again. The incident took place on the 13th hole, a par-4.

His tournament finished well as he finished tied fifth with a very good 17-under par.

As for his excuse, well he's told the PGA Tour website that it wasn't his fault.

"“I had a little mud on the ball, little unfortunate timing there and shot out to the right, took a big bounce and hit her, I guess. I didn’t know until after the round. … I’m just happy she’s not hurt.”

It is unclear at this time whether he signed a glove for her afterwards.

A lifelong football and basketball fan with years of experience in the sports gambling industry, Sam is known for his incredibly deep knowledge of all things NFL and NBA.
