PGA Tour Odds This Week: Valspar Championship

The Zurich Classic was a nice break from the standard PGA Tour events, however, we resume normal action again this week, as the PGA Tour returns to Florida for the 2021 Valspar Championship.

The Valspar Championship is normally one of the best golf events of the year outside of the scheduled majors, and this year will be no exception with some of the world's best golfers teeing up in Florida.

2021 Valspar Championship: Course Break Down

The Valspar Championship is played at Innisbrook Resort (Copperhead) in Palm Harbor, Florida. The course is a par 71, and measure 7,340 yards. Our experts will provide their PGA Tour predictions and picks later in the week for the Valspar Championship, but if you are fancying an early play in the betting market, the course demands accuracy of the tee.

The 72-hole record at Innisbrook Resort (Copperhead) was set by Vijay Singh in 2004 (226).

The 18-hole record was set by Padraig Harrington in 2012 (61).

The 1st and 14th hole at Innisbrook Resort (Copperhead) are the potential eagle holes, as both the par 5’s have an eagle rater around 1%. All the par 5’s at the course have a birdie rater over 20%, with the 1st hole having a birdie rate of 40%.

There are four par-4’s with bogey rates over 20%, and the 16th hole as a 6% double bogey+ rate.

The Valspar Championship odds market will likely reflect the accuracy needed from the tee and also premium on par 5 scoring.

Paul Casey has won the last two Valspar Championships with scores of -8 and -10, the two previous times he played the course he missed the cut on both occasions. Given his recent record at this PGA Tour event, Paul Casey will likely be one of the betting favorites in the Valspar Championship odds market.

2021 Valspar Championship Odds

Given the field for this weeks PGA Tour event, the Valspar Championship odds market is pretty compact at the top-end. Like the majors, when there’s such strong fields it’s tricky to get much value on the worlds best players in the odds market. 2021 Valspar Championship Betting

Early indications in the Valspar Championship betting showed that Patrick Reed would be a popular play in the odds market and DFS. In the hour after FanDuel released this week's PGA Tour odds, Reed accounted for just over 16% of all wagers.

Now that a little more time has passed, there are a few other players who will look like popular plays in the odds market and DFS. Jason Kokrak has joined Patrick Reed as one of the most wagered players in the betting market. Jason Kokrak has accounted for 10% of bets today in the Valspar odds market.

Corey Conners, Sam Burns and Gary Woodland follow Reed and Kokrak in the betting.

This will be updated once we have more betting data.
