2020 Democratic VP Betting Odds: Susan Rice is the new favorite
Susan Rice is the favorite in the Democratic VP odds market
We reported yesterday the dramatic shift which saw Gretchen Whitmer become the third-favorite in the betting market, but we've seen an even more notable movement in the last couple of hours.
Kamala Harris has been the long-time betting favorite to be the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate, and her odds even touched -162 in June, which implied she had a 61.9% chance of being Joe Biden's running mate. However, Harris has now been replaced at the top of the betting market by Susan Rice.
Susan Rice's VP odds are now as short as +125, which implies she's got a 44.4% chance of being the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate. Rice's odds have shortened rapidly in the last month, she was available in the betting market at +650 in early July, which implied she only had a 13.3% of being given the role. Just twenty-four hours ago, Susan Rice was +250 in the VP betting market.
Gretchen Whitmer remains the third-favorite in the betting market, but her odds have drifted from +400 to +1000 in the last twenty-four hours.
