Both of these teams are seen as championship-caliber rosters. The Padres and Braves both had good years a season ago, but we’re both eliminated in the playoffs by the Philadelphia Phillies. The Padres got even better in the off-season, adding all-star Xander Bogartes to their roster. San Diego will also add Frendado Tatis Jr back to their roster in a couple of months, making them one of the most feared lineups in baseball. The Braves, meanwhile, won a World Series championship in 2021, and they have the kind of roster that can do it again.
