The aging but first-inning specialist Zack Greinke will take over against the White Sox here to begin this matchup in Kansas City. Since the start of last season, Greinke has a perfect 16-0 NRFI record while pitching in his home stadium. Overall, Greinke is 27-6 (82%) to the NRFI, which is a fantastic feat for a 39-year-old. Last season, Greinke threw 66.0 innings at home, posting a 1.91 ERA, and only allowed one single homerun through 66 full innings pitched.

NRFI Bets Today - Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox Prediction
The White Sox offense will travel to Kansas City as they face the familiar Greinke in this divisional matchup. The Sox have struggled in the 1st inning this season, only scoring in 28.57% of their overall first innings while scoring in a mere 15.79% of their away first innings. In three starts against the Sox last season, Greinke held a 3-0 NRFI record, 2.50 ERA, and struck out 13 through 18.0 innings pitched.
Next, the gun-slinging Dylan Cease will take over on the bump versus the Kansas City Royals in Kauffman Stadium. To begin the 2023 season, Cease is a stellar 6-1 (86%) to the NRFI while throwing against very respectable ball clubs such as the Tampa Bay Rays (x2), Houston Astros, and Minnesota Twins (x2). Last season in three starts versus the Royals, Cease posted a 1.50 ERA and held opponents to a .203 batting average while also going 3-0 to the NRFI.
As stated above, the Royals have struggled to hit Cease in the prior meetings. If their first four batters consist of Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino, Salvador Perez, and Carlos Melendez, like yesterday, they are a combined 8-37, which equates to a .216 batting average. Along with this, the Royals have cashed seven out of their last 10 NRFIs, so look for Cease to secure three safe outs.
