Texas Rangers vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction
Despite the strong start to the year for the Braves, they have struggled a bit as of late. Atlanta has lost four games in a row, including losing a heartbreaker yesterday. The Braves had two outs in the ninth inning but could not finish the job as Danny Jansen delivered a game-winning single for the Jays to knock off the Braves. Atlanta still holds a five-game lead over the Phillies for first place in the NL East.
Texas, meanwhile, rolls into this game in first place in the AL West. The AL West has been a division controlled by the Astros over the last few years, but Texas feels as if they can compete and make some noise this year. This is a. Team that has been swinging the bats extremely well early in the year, and they have gotten better pitching than they anticipated coming into the year.
Tonight the Braves will send veteran right-hander Charlie Morton to the bump to try and limit this Rangers lineup. Opposing Morton will be 25-year-old southpaw Cody Bradford on the mound. Bradford will be making his first start of the 2023 season.
I am going to back the Braves on the money line tonight. I feel as if the Braves are in a great spot to bounce back after a tough weekend series. I trust that Morton will go out tonight and do what he typically does. He should be able to go six innings plus and allow two to three runs. On the flip side, I feel as if the Braves' lineup could break out tonight. This is a tough spot for Bradford, who will be making his first start of the year against one of baseball's best lineups. Let’s stay hot on the diamond and cash in tonight!
