Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Minnesota Twins Prediction

Minnesota comes into this game representing an overall record of 24-19. That is good for first place in the AL Central. Minnesota came into this season feeling as if they could compete in the division. The biggest question mark around this Twins team was their pitching staff. Offensively they know that they can compete with most teams in baseball.

The Twins led the division for the majority of the year a season ago but collapsed in the second half of the year. They are hopeful that they continue their strong play this year and go on a postseason run.

The Dodgers, meanwhile, enter play playing to the tune of a 27-16. The Dodgers remain one of the best teams in baseball and are currently one of the favorites to win a World Series from a betting standpoint. This has been one of the best teams in baseball over the last decade, and it will be fun to see what they can accomplish this year.

Today we have a great pitching matchup as the Twins will send veteran right-hander Sonny Gray to the mound. Gray has been the best arm in baseball this season, sporting a record of 4-0 and an era of 1.39 on the season. Opposing Gray will be flame-throwing righty Dustin May. May has been great in his own right this year, supporting a 4-1 record and an era of 2.68.

We backed the Twins last night and cashed them as a +180 dog yesterday, but today I am fading the Twins. Gray has been outstanding this year, and as I said earlier, he has been the best arm in baseball, but I expect Gray to regress sooner than later.

This will be the toughest lineup for Gray to face this year, and I feel as if the Dodgers matchup pretty well here. On the flip side of things, May has been extremely consistent this year, and I trust that he can limit this Twins lineup today.
